Hi everyone, we needed to get one going so here it is:

Create a Christmas (or Holiday) Card. It doesn't have to be traditional, just about anything goes, as long as it's clean :D

I would like to see you use your creativity on this, think freely and have at it.

If you use stock photography or stock images, please specify the source with your entry.

Have fun, and I will provide feedback as best as I can, as will some of the other mods hopefully!
You MUST be an Elite Designer to enter the contests. Please go to www.designcontest.net and follow the link that says "Love to Design" to get more information and the requirements for joining. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.

Here's my first attempt at the card. As you can see, I stuck with a more traditional approach.

I think it is only if you can win 3 community contests you get into the Design Team without the application process :).

Ok, I made this in Illustrator CS3 but had to transfer it to Photoshop CS3 to save it as a jpg to upload to photobucket. That way I could have a URL code to enter here.

Great entries everyone, keep them coming.

slbergh, I like the entry. The only feedback I have on it is that you should fill out the garland a bit on the right side (just past the snowman).

Earthhue, your entry is really cute. My feedback for this is to maybe make your font a little heavier, or change the colors. It blends in to the background over the Rudolph post card picture and a bit over the "confetti" background.

Crisp: very cool entry. I would make the tree a little bigger.

arsenicXkisses- first entry- This one is cool. You might want to add some "Christmas" type decorations to the tree.

arsenicXkisses- second entry- I like this one too. You might want to try some sort of background on it. Something light colored, just to add some visual interest.

Zpsy- being from the desert, I really like this one. I also like the earth-friendly message. Of course it would be printed on recycled paper, right? :)

In answer to the other questions posted:
1. You DO NOT have to be a design team member to enter.
2. Any format that you can create a JPG from is fine for this contest.
3. There are no prizes, just a way to show off your work, have some fun and practice.
4. If you win 3 community contests, you can get in to the design team.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

You can use stock images, but have to specify the source of each stock image used in your entry.
Cheers!

Hi there. I'm new here and I thought I would give this contest a shot.
(I hope it's okey to submit more than one design...)

I tried to make on with a realistic feeling, and the other one I wanted to be more designed.
Tell me what you think. :)
