Hey all, first post, glad to be here :)
Just thought I'd share some of my old stuff, nothing is newer than 3 months, some are better than others, as always.

I don't have a website yet, i'll try to get it up as soon as I find time and willpower to code it, my goal of course is to join the design team!

Anyway, here goes, please tell me what you think of these!

This is a pic from last year, I made it from scratch in Photoshop with only my own mp3-player as reference, pretty happy with the way it turned out although it has some minor flaws.

This is something I did for a graphic battle, I needed a pic of uncle sam and I didn't wanna copy/paste so I painted my own, original uncle Sam pic used as ref but no tracing.

This is a magazine cover I made for a school assignment, it's for an imaginary swedish magazine focusing on offroad racing.

This is just something stupid I did a while back as I thought of how (almost) all the characters in Star Wars are male. I figured they had to be gay, me and my friends had alot of fun with this one, if anybody is offended by it I'm really sorry, just say so and I'll take it away. It's really just for fun though. Made with Illustrator.

Just thought I'd put all of these in one post rather than splitting them into seperate threads since they're all old anyway. If you think any of theese could suit as portfolio work, please tell me because I'm really not sure whether to use these or not. Thanks :)

Hey, Nice Work!

They could most definitely be used in a portfolio. Your MP3 Player looks amazing - I had to take a second glance to notice that it wasn't actually a photo. Your stormtroopers are also very well done (despite the questionable material LOL)

I look forward to seeing your portfolio, and eventually your team application!

Impressive. I must agree with penguinpedia, your MP3 player sure does look great!

If I were you, I'd approach some companies (sony, TDK, Pioneer, panasonic) and other companies that are making mp3 players and tell them that you'll sell them your design. Make sure you copyright it though (the legal way).

Other than that, nice work. It's very hard to do things from scratch and it looks like you got it covered :)

Hey, thanks :)

Zeav: The mp3-player isn't my own design, I have an mp3-player wich looks like that (The manufacturer is Jens Of Sweden who actually just imports IBead players to Sweden).
I've been thinking I should make a design of my own but I think it'd be really difficult getting anyone to buy it, maybe someday I'll give it a try though. :)

The mp3 player is very well done. I thought at first it was a 3d model. Do you recall how long it took to complete?

I completed it from start to finish in one night, so a couple of hours of concentrated work, I was surfing around the net and chatting at the same time as usual, hehe. The sad thing though is that that's the size I made it in, I really regret I didn't make it in higher resolution but I didn't think of that because it was one of the first serious pics I ever made and it just started out as a fun thing :/ Glad you like it though! :)

You're MP3 player is really amazing you might want to create a 'free' winamp skin out of it and offer it eventually on your portfolio site. Iam sure some people will download and use it and spread it all around, while your url will get a little promoted by it.

Your Rally magazine cover looks nice and stuff like that always look a lot better when printed, but it's not catchy and fast enough for such a magazine, but it's better than overdoing that like most mags are :p
Iam not font of your other 2 pictures, i think you're a better screen/print designer than a graphic artist.
