I'm not sure how many people know about this, but if you're willing to jump through some hoops (six, precisely) and have an e-mail account that you don't mind getting spam in, you can get a free iPod. It may sound like a scam, but it isn't, I've read (and know personally) people who have managed to get one, so I'm trying for my own.

You have to basically sign up for some random trial offer (or eBay and place one bid) at which point you then refer five people who have to do the same thing. When you're done, you get a free iPod! (20GB or Mini)

Hate to post something that sounds so much like a spam email  but this is actually legitimate as far as I can tell, and I wants me an iPod ;)

Similar offer for a desktop PC: check this out.

Oh, thought I'd add that this is run by Gratis Networks, which is a real marketing firm, so it's a little less shady that some other similar offers.

As to their server being slow...I think they must be having quite the extraordinary load today, I was getting "Server Too Busy" earlier.

aE-COma: wouldn't recommend it, they verify that each identity is unique before they ship the iPod.

How would they verify that? Just wondering...But either way I'll just have my family and freinds sign up then...BTW: Did you receive credit yet?

I think I'll send a threatening e-mail saying if they don't tell me what's going on I'll report them to the Better Business Bureau :)

I thought I posted in here but apparently not. This is called a pyramid scheme and in all honesty...it's dumb to go along with it.

Do you understand the basics of a pyramid scheme? The thing is they hope all these people will refer to someone who refers to someone all the while the guy on top is getting rich because a small percentage actually gets enough to receive the iPod. In the end you're more likely to just get a bunch of services you don't want than to get an iPod.

I just got approved for my free iPod! Yeehaw! So I'll be holding proof in 4-6 weeks!

In the meantime, if anyone is interested in getting a completely free computer, I suggest you check out Free Desktop PC!

I didn't want to post a new thread because it'd seem too much like spam and I'm the admin here, but I'm now running a Conga Line for FDPC so that people can get through their referrals even faster...for more info check it out!
