As always, the launch of a new version of Adobe products is a big event in the design industry. This year's the same.

CS5 is launching on April 12.

They even created a special page, where you'll find all the info you need.

Can't wait to see the new versions of the Adobe products.

I heard that the new brush engine in Photoshop is going to be much better, with features like in Corel Paint.

Here's the link:

geez. I just bought CS4 about a month ago... I need to adjust to the changes in that version before I can even think about upgrading again... I can't keep up!

Would love to play around with this new version, though!

Didn't they provide a special upgrade price when buying so near to the launch date of the new version ?

Some software providers even give free upgrades to customers who buy products near the launch date of a new version.

I didn't get any special pricing... but I'm definitely going to look at special pricing for upgrading again so soon, thanks for the heads up!

I think Adobe updates too fast. Sometimes the changes aren't even worth it, or aren't as intuitive. Gotta make money though right? I guess. At least I like CS3 over 4. Maybe CS5 will flow better (and make CS4 cheaper). Student versions are fairly reasonably priced. Around 4 or 500 for a program?

yep...I'm pretty certain that the AdobeCS4 Premium Design Collection Student Edition is 399. so...really not bad for purchase whole new package...I would assume even a little less for an upgrade

If it makes you feel any better, I was using my parents' old desktop the other day and they have Photoshop 7.0! :p

If you buy the program close to the release date of the new version you can upgrade for few $ more, or if it's real close, from what i know you have a free upgrade.
When they launched cs3 in my country i've been there but wasn't so lucky to win at the contest.

You can find some contests where you can win adobe products. That's how i've got my design premium licence for cs3. Just search! And i've been so close to win another cs4 master collection :)
Watch the launch events in your country because they give prizes or make contests!

The boss decided today to purchase CS5. We passed on CS4 and now he doesn't want to fall too far behind. I'm looking forward to playing with all the new options. :)

C3, CS4, CS5...1 on 2 new useful features and each time more bugs, errors, each time it needs more RAM and faster processor.
At home I work in AI 10 and this is enough for me. (except that AI 10 don`t
support Opentype font features:().
sorry for my English=)

I have been playing for a week with cs5 and has some nice features.
from what i've seen they improved the flash based applications and some features in dreamweaver for compatibility with some cms like word press, joomla and drupal.

The bad thing is that now it's using more resources. I think cs3 is the best choice for what you get.
