Here's an animation I did for my 7th semester project at college; it's a showdown between English and Japanese letterforms! I was really tired of the standard "kinetic typography" stuff that people try to do when they animate type, so here's something different. I'm a 4th year graphic design student and this is my first attempt at animating my work. :) I would really appreciate some feedback if you have anything to say.

Nice work there, but i do not know a lot about animation.
It was very entertaining, gave me a laugh!
What letter or word did that japanese symbol represent?

DeathDart, I really enjoy that, need to slow down the credits a bit, however it was something you might see up for an award for Anima Short

haha I liked it, entertaining and creative.
I'm not familiar with animation but from a stand point of just watching it was great. I'm sure there are other that are highly into animation that can give you some more distict critiques or problems that might exist. for me I didn't see anything. ;)

Thanks DixielandD :)

@Coy - thanks! I'm not an animation student either and had never done any animations longer than 3-4 seconds before, but I wanted to explore the subject and relate it to graphic design anyway :)

I thought it was great! I liked how the 'leaders' reacted when the instruments came out.
I think you have something here and a them you could carry further! Keep it up!

Maybe you need a browser update or flash update to view it?
