If your client has a premier or business class paypal account, it will come with a free paypal shopping cart. Beside the item to be purchased, you have an "Add to Cart" button which will add the item to a paypal shopping cart (Which will be on the paypal server). It can get tedious though, as you will need to manually enter every item and generate a button for it.
Alternatively, there are scripts out there that integrate paypal into shopping cart systems. Unfortunately there aren't many (if any) that are free, so you will have to pay some money to purchase them.
Here is a link to some scripts you might want to look at:

There are many more as well - just look under hotscripts.com or fatscripts.com. I have been doing research on the topic myself, as I am looking for an easier method to sell digital goods such as my design services and possibly templates.

I need some info, does anyone know how to setup a PHP Pay Pal Shopping Cart, I need to set one up for a client that would be like the shopping cart at this site. http://www.sharpmoneysports.com/ . I do not know any PHP basically but I know HTML and XHTML. Would this be a hard task for me to accomplish, or is there somewhere where I can get an easy script and implement it to my needs. Thanks for the help ahead of time.
well all i can say... is whay not tap into the open source resourcess?
try places like hotscripts and sourceforge there is plenty of sites like that out there just do your search... off the top of my head there is oscommerce and zencart.. that i used in the past.. i made those sites using oscommerce,
http://bestvalueplus.net/
http://thetooloutletstore.com/
osc (os commerce) isn't the best choice as far as design and limited coding skills though... but zencart is almost the same, actually it's a spin-off from osc, and it has a template system integrated into it, but you'd still need to know some basics of php...
both have paypal payment gateway with ipn, plus 100's more, and they're a full blown shopping cart system....
but then again there are virtually 100's of other free (GPL) carts out there, and many of them use paypal as a gateway...
i guess it all comes down to your reqirements, if you shed some more light on what you want it to do, than i might be able to help you further...
Hope this helps, feel free to to get in touch, i have some expirience with shopping carts...
thx
Greg
