Name: Toni
Country:USA, New Jersey
DOB: 8-18-73
Marital Status: 13 years, 2 children
Occupation: stay at home mom
Hobbies: crafts, scrapbooking, designing
Accomplishments: various design projects & logos for my local church. I also own DzinesbyToni.com

I classify myself as a 'graphic designer' although I am self taught. I never went to school of any kind, but I live to design. If I am not designing something for someone, I am just fiddling on the computer with some designs. I take alot of pride in my work, yet need an outlet to become better. I am currently working on designs for a museum for a Nascar driver.

Hello Toni, and welcome to the forum. Graphic design is a good field to be in. There is quite a bit going on lately. So who is the nascar driver?

Thanks for welcoming me here. I am currantly working on my online portfolio so I will be able to apply as a designer her. Right now, though I have been working on big orders....a logo for my church, a logo for a new pre-school that is opening, a huge business card order....and trying to redesign my website....
Plus looking for a job, getting ready for the kids to start school again...etc....I am going crazy....LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds a little busy. How do you set up your pricing for your services?

I calculate the cost of my products per piece, then I double it.

Don't get that pricing.

I think that the guy/girl asking was thinking like:

$100 for a logo
$200 for a brochure etc

if the person wasn't and understand this pricing method, my apologes

I charge $250 for a logo
I've done one brochure, but for my church, so I didn't charge anything. For any other simple design, like a flyer or something, i charge $45
