I work as book designer, therefore I use mainly Indesign. In addition Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel.

For vector graphics I use Adobe Illustrator CS5, Corel Draw X4 (when I'm lazzy) and rarely Inkscape.
As for raster graphics I use Adobe Photoshop CS5 and a little bit of GIMP.
We need more competition ... more 5 stars design software, with only Adobe, Corel and maybe Quark there's not much to chose from.

Very true, and that's probably they are so costly to purchase. I use Inkscape because it's free (but buggy sometimes).
