I airbrushed a Mascot/Logo for a Client. I used my Wacom for the airbrushing after sketching the main idea and scanning it in the computer.

the artwork looks great though the fonts need more work. Right now they look kind of haphazard, not very stable.

The web designer added the text .. I think he was trying to go for a sense of motion with the website address and some sort of liquid motion with the bottom text ..

Thanks for the reply.

The font placement is fine... but I agree, the font itself sucks! Go tell that webdesigner to get some more fonts installed... Have him/her visit here:

Thanks for the reply ... The font or font placement is not what I am wanting feedback on ... I told the webmaster it sucked but he liked it and apparently the client did too.

I'm just looking for feedback on the airbrushing itself.

Digital its a great piece of Art!, I love it and its really dynamic!, it speaks for itself!, the designer shouldn´t have added the text like that ;)

Thanks Bella .... I didn't like the bottom text placement either. The WakeBoardsForLess.com didn't seem to bad.

Some fonts you may want to try that I've got on the typical windows xp system here at work is Magneto, Matura MT Script, Mistral, Monotype Corsiva, Palace Script Mt, Vivaldi, Vladimir Script... the main problem with the font used is that it's sort of blocky, which is totally opposite of the wavy sort of design that you seem to be wanting to go for... The blocky script would be more appropriate in an illustration with a big blocky skyscraper type or techno filled microchip illustration type thing... surfin is all about waves and in fonts that's all about script, cursive, and serifs.... the placement of the fonts in the illustration is not bad... just the choice of which font itself...

wow, you didn't tell us in the original post that it was not your job (unfortunately) to place the text. The artwork itself is really great, I positively cannot give you any critisism, even constructive :)

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback .... One of my favorite things to do in Photoshop w/ my Wacom is airbrush. Be it cartoon, comic book, backgrounds, lettering or real images .... Maybe one of these days I can make an Airbrushing Tutorial. I might use the wakeboarder as the subject or airbrush something new. The wakeboarder might be a little difficult for people who aren't very experienced with the airbrush. Any thoughts or ideas about it would be appreciated.

(I think I have passed 15 posts .. I just might go ahead and apply for the Design Team :))

A little complicated for a logo, but nevertheless absolutely fantastic artwork :D! By the way, what's that in his hand? Is that an apple?
