Hey everyone,
I'm a student at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in the 'Graphic Design for Print Medium' course. But... I do websites and whatnot as well. I actually love writing and coloring comic books, and this job pays the bills so I can do what I love. I'm pretty sure I was a member here a long time ago (when there were no contests...) because I believe there is a link on SitePointForums... where I used to frequent before I lost a lot of my time by being a student. But my digression is circular. On with the show.

Hey,

Nice to see a fellow Calgarian here on the forums - I am currently a student at Mount Royal taking the Electronic Publishing program. What is the program like at SAIT?

Hey,
I'm originally from Penticton, BC - I just moved up to Calgary in September. It's nice here, 'cept for the bitter cold. Although that chinook we just had was very nice. The program is decent, perhaps a little bit too much focus on press work for my liking. I'm in first year, so a lot of the classes are a little less advanced than I'd like them to be as well. But what can you do? There are a bunch of good classes that I'm glad I'm in, and I understand that not everyone has taught themselves the programs that we're using... so it's only fair that they learn how to use them too.
