That scares me. If you look at how people drive on the road, imagine what would happen if all of them would get a hold of one of this. Ouch! - intersting idea though... reminds me of the hoover thing what Luke had in Star Wars

Nope. This thing is for real, I have seen a couple TV specials about it. The only thing stopping it for actually becoming a mainstream form of transportation is the huge costs to build one, and the inability to regulate how people fly it.

Totally real. This guy has been around trying to make these things since the 60's. NASA was working with them (not sure if they are still) on getting them into circulation. They were working on the navigation being automatic, and there being several safety backups. Bizarre. There are already people working with antigravity: http://www.americana...com/index.shtml
So I think it will be just a matter of time when these 2 companies meet.

I remember several reports on the fact that we do have the tecnhology to build this type of thing but not the finacial support to chang roads and systems etc.

I'm sure here in England a certain company had created a aeroplane like-viechle that could fly low, and would be much like a car, and also low cost on short trips from cities to cities, downside was that it needed a large space for landing and take off.
