Hey maxx,

You are searching for a wide gamut monitor but you haven't told us on what price you can afford it.
I'm searching for such a good monitor for print and I finaly found a few models.
Great wide gamut monitor is NEC PA241W; Eizo is in general professional oriented monitor brand, so you can see some Eizo's monitors like S2243W or S2433W. Eizo has a high professional monitor just for print - take a look at this SX2762W http://cameramirrorl...-sx2762w-hx.jpg
I've hear a lot of positive feedback for not so famous Fujitsu P27T-6 IPS too, but in the most reviews they say it's slow in response time.
I have read about many problems even in a high range professional monitors no matter the brand, so you should look carefully before you get it home!

Сега видях, че си от братска Сърбия. Може да намериш ревюта в PRAD.de или на български на monitoribg.com

Good quality/price monitor is ASUS PA246Q it's the first from ProArt series by Asus. It offers a wide range color gamut. Here the problem is that you can get a unit that has a flickering problems - see youtube PA246Q flickering! Maybe it depends on the date of production and ASUS have managed to fix the problem till now, who knows.
But everybody knows (it's a famous secret) that some countries (especially poorer countries) gets low quality products with defects etc.
You should take a look of it before purchase!

The main competitor is Dell U2410 but it uses a less quality display. The difference is not so visible...
His advantage is the CCFL backlight and the price maybe.
If I should chose between these two I prefer to get the ASUS, just a little bit more.

Please notice that LED is not a kind of display. All best known monitors are CRT and TFT, the difference is only backlight - LED, CCFL etc.(search and find more about backlights). LED is not better than the old CCFL backlight! It's generally for a slim panel design - of course you need performance, instead of thin monitor, am I right? And of course there is a great LED models better than CCFL.
The most common problem about the LED backlight monitors is the glow effect - you can see what is that animal known as "glow effect" on youtube. All in all the LED backlight is not constant and you can see brighter areas and darker ones. (Test it in absolutely dark room on black screen)

Tell us what is your choice and first impression when you bought it :)
Of course you can take the car and come to Sofia for a few hours (3-4) to talk about :D :D
I'm joking!

Good luck and don't hesitate to ask more ;)

P.S>

if I should give you a piece of advice, I'll tell you to wait some more and get higher monitor class. Every time aim above your possibilities.

I'm on the same dilemma and I'll choose Fujitsu P27T-6 IPS or Eizo S2243W for about 500E.
Maybe I will go for Eizo but I'll finally chose when I see them both. S-PVA is more eye-care display type than IPS. It offers really deep black tones! IPS displays can't visualize clear greys/blacks.
Eizo S2243W has an S-PVA display.

Maxx,

You are wellcome!
Acorsys has mentioned best budget monitors for start so if you decide you can go for one of them (e.g. Dell U2312HM 23''). I recommend you to wait some more and get a high quality thing that will be with you at least 5-6 years!

Well - everything depends on how big budget you have :) and what kind of print you mean. I definetly suggest EIZO FLEX scan sx27622W (really great resolution)

We shouldn't talk so much about brands, nearly all brands have few classes of them products (in our case monitors).
From the standard low-price class to the top professional device.Depending of yours budget you will buy someone.
Important thing ,in my opinion, is size of your monitor , as big as better ( more then 17, 4 inch is desirable :D ) and other maybe more important thing is good calibration especial if you want to finalizing your work on printer , plotter ...
