What about incorporating RSS Feeder?

I would suggest that DC could include RSS into the website. It could keep everyone with RSS reader to be alerted of the latest update.

This is what RSS do:

"RssReader collect news in the background at user configurable intervals and warn with a little popup in the system tray that there is a new message arrived. You can click the news headline to see a short description of the news and click or open the original news web page in an RssReader browser or default browser window.

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format for syndicating news."

You can subscribe to all website that support RSS and once they update their website with news or events, you will be first to know. :)

There are plenty of RSS reader which are FREE. Just search thru google and you will have a list of FREE reader.
