PC or Mac? No just kidding, we ALL know what the real answer is (Linux). So, anyway, which of these two is more effective?

ONE

TWO

or do they both stink.

Number one is better.. but I think the entire purpose is lost with the little quote in parenthesis.. as my eye is drawn there first ;) I would recommend making the yellow a little bit more saturated to increase the contrast.

Five is too harsh on the eyes. I think I like four the best.

I'd say #1. #5 is too bright. #3 the "arrow" reading is broken. (act.don't be acted upon) got my attention after "and contrasting color"

I don't mean to appear rude by asking... But, shouldn't people explain WHY they feel a particular design is better than another that precedes succeeds the design they favor? Given, everyone has the right to simply state they like one over another. However, isn't it more beneficial to say why you like something? I believe that SAYS why something IS/ISN'T more effective, more so than just stating you like/dislike something.

Just my 2 cents.

At first glance, my eyes read the top 'Did You Know' text first, then I end up reading from the left side first.

When I realize that I'm suppose to follow the arrows, the surprise was gone for me. Even when I revisit the designs, I still have the urge to read the left first.

I don't know if this is just me, but that was my initial reaction. Other than that, I'm intrigued. What is this for?

Actually, I like "ONE", but I'd make the arrow under "Did you know" extremely long, so people would have to scroll at least 5 pages down to find out what actually do they know... :D :D
