hello everybody!! welcome to a new contest here at community contests.
This time a t-shirt design for DC is the theme. Wouldn't it be great to have one? :D
It should be a vector file, and you'll have to present two versions of it, one in 2 and another one in full colours.
The deadline is May 31.
Good luck everyone and hope to have a lot of posts! ;)

Are you looking for front and back designs?? Or just a single side? Or is that up to us?

thanks

And what are the size requirements? (dimensions, not file size). Will it be a breast-pocket logo and a design on the back, or the design in the center of the shirt up front?

Thanks!
Jess

hi guys!
mizzbeat and jess711: as one of you said, it's up to you, you can make a front or back (or both) design, with or without an iconic design for the breast pocket.
example
example2
as you can see jess, the size depends on the design.
let me know if you have more doubts about this.
hope to see some posts soon... :D
best regards to everyone!

important: I have talked to the printer and we discussed the prices... Would it be possible to reduce the number of colours in your designs to 1 or 2? That would be great as we really want these t-shirts to be affordable...

Guys, please note:

No gradients
Up to 4 colours, preferably 1 or 2
No "special effects", such as metallic looks etc

The t-shirts will be screen printed, and we can't afford to spend a large amount of money for extra colours.

I have another question for the admins or for everyone else out there. Since the design should be a 2 color, would you prefer the colors green and blue as seen on the Home page of the site.....or the brown and green that seem to be the colors in the Forum?

Thanks!

Here's the same design with a white shirt.

This design can be done in any color. :)

actually in my opinion, it doesn't really matter in what color we make the t-shirt design. Let's see what other admins and mods have to say about that.

Also, does it have to be the same logo design? Or are we supposed to be making something new?

the design for the t-shirt can be whatever your creativity comes up to, it can be a character or an abstract mess of colors, but if you place there a logo, it must be the DC logo :)
