Yotam -

In order to enter the design contests, you have to be a member of the Design Team first. There's certain prerequisites that have to be met first - of which you haven't. Right off I can tell that you only have made 3 posts so far, and we have a minimum requirement of 15 as part of the application procedure.

I'm sorry - but the application process is something that is required. I received a copy of your design that you emailed to me (twice actually), but honestly didn't even open the zip files, just deleted them. I'm not the contest holder, just a mediator, but it is also a violation of the rules to enter other people's work into the contests, so i'm sorry but that's out of the question.

Again, i'm sorry that you're unhappy with the rules, but they are long established and were created for very good reasons. Once you've met the requirements, we'll look forward to your application.

I didnt want you to enter with my design, I wanted you to post for *me* the design and just ask if he like it for me to continue, while i will earn honestly my 15 (full of wisdom and knowledge ;)) posts and will be able to reply myself. Sorry if your misunderstood me.

Thanks and best regards,

YotamB.

I didn't misunderstand - the case is this: non-design team members are not allowed to enter designs into the guaranteed contests, so there's no reason for you to have emailed the design to me. Contest holders are also restricted from choosing a non-design team members design for their contest, so again, there's no reason for you to be pushing to have your design entered. Once you're a design team member, then you can enter all of the contests on your own - and not be violating any of our posted guidelines.

Hey man, i hate the rules too...but what can you do? I also need a portfolio with atleast ten work, and i am working on that.

Honestly i didn't even look at the contests because i have alot to work on for my portfolio.

Here are the rules:-

1.- You have a working portfolio that is online. Directories and links are not acceptable.
2.- You have at least 10 quality pieces of work in your portfolio.
3.- You have been a contributing member of the community for at least 1 week and have at least 15 "real" posts.

A suggestion is that you can put that website in ur portfolio. Good luck.

I have just registered and think that the requirements are excellent. It gives some security that the contests will not be bogged down with junk entries, but that talented designers will enter. It also fosters the community spirit and usefullness of the forums. I look forward to being a part!
