Just an idea...but I think you should set some rules for the contests such as they have to give you certain info before the contest is started and they can;t post on other forums.

You're right. I agree with you. It would be much more easier for the designers...

I think that would be up to the moderator of the Contests section, but currently there is none. I have already applied but I need to get more posts and reffer people to here. Working on the second one right now, but all my friends are on their family vacations.
Looking for a Flash/Graphics Designer with a lot of expierience? PM me and we'll talk!

Very true, it is very frustrating to make a design only to find out that it is the opposite of what the person wanted.

Yeah, people should apply to run a contest, stating all the details required. The person running the contest should be given a set of guidelines when applying to run a contest...also I dont think people should have to pick a winner...at the end of the day, the person is paying money for the work and if he doesnt like it he shouldnt have to pay.

yeah, there should be stricter rules for the people that start a contest... totaly agree on that! And around that way try to get rid of the fake guys that claim to have this wonderful prize but in fact don't have!
Maybe yaxay should be an example when it comes to this! ;)

Resure, how have you been verifying the contests?

I would happily be the moderator of the contest forums and get info about the people before they hold a contest if resurepus needs help.

Maybe someone who is good at coding could make a Form for contest holders to fill out.

What form should include:

Coded (yes/no) If yes (HTML, PHP, OTHER)

Colors: Main and sub-colors (if they have a preference)

Prize: (and how they are going to pay) With appropriate information aka paypal e-mail address so admin/mod can check and verify that account.

Images: (if they have images/logos they want used/included)

Type: Flash/animated/static

Information: (Text box)

What else can you think of?

(I can make a form in php (I am not great at php but I could make one))
Best Regards,
Adam Wilkinson

I don't know. I think their should just be a moderator(hint hint!) that the person contacts by means of pm or instant messenging program. Those are the easiest. :)

By the way this is my 200th post.

The problem with that is if we get a HUGE amount of people posting contests is that it would overwhelm that mod. So if we had these submissions goto a e-mail address that each Mod (multiple sometime in the future) that works on the contests has access to, and they could take one out at a time and check them out, and post it.

Just an idea.
