I started my own Graphic Design & Video Production company this year. My website is still being tweaked and I still have to finish the video portion of the portfolio. Any feedback is very much appreciated!

Not bad, but there really isn't a lot of content. Under services, all you do is list what you can do - but some people might not understand what "Non-Linear Digital Editing" is. I think a more in-depth explanation could get you more clients.

Also, it looks like you have stretched the text on the logo at the top (it all seems kind of squished down). There is a cardinal rule of typography that you should never strech text, and it looks stretched :p

I also noticed under your portfolio that the header text of the sections is actually the link to visit the section. It was difficult understanding this at first, as there is no clear colour for a link present. I would suggest also adding a "click here to view" link underneath the paragraph.

Finally you really need to work on your W3C standards. As it stands you do not have a Doc-Type defined, which is making your site default into "quirks" mode. Your HTML does not validate either (http://validator.w3....thdaymedia.com/)

Other than that - good job! You have a good layout, it loads quickly, and it's easy on the eyes. I also like the transparency you applied behind the menu - it adds some depth.

Thanks for the input Neupix! I put the site together in Adobe® GoLive®, I don't really know too much html, CSS, or Java. I'll look into the W3C stuff, thanks!

The text at the top is how my logo is designed. Here is a copy of it...

As I brought the page up, I thought the background was too dark, but after my eyes adjusted it brings a very pleasing contrast. I think mabe a very subtle white glow around the edges of your main box would offset that. Just a thought.

Maybe consider grouping the items in your portfolio. Some people may only be interested in logos, others in business sets. That way potential clients don't have to scroll through everything to see what they want. Also maybe think about combining the testimonials with your portfolio. That way a potential client can see right away what the testimony is about.

Last, you need to have a contact form on your contact page. Not many people (at least in my experience) will use the "mailto:" link. There are some very simple asp mail forms. If you want, contact me through my site and I will send you the code. Another reason for this is that spam harvesters love mailto: links.

Good site!
