This is not a topic for open discussion.

Somethings are cast in stone.

Just contact your printer for clear professional preference.

 

They may even provide templates along with color profiles for their press and the making of PDF for print files.

 

Business cards are usually set up in drawing or page layout programs.

If you use raster images, make sure that they are high enough resolution for print.

You need to understand color, rgb, cmyk, spot.

Most contemporary printers gang print in cmyk.

 

If you do not understand what I am talking about, you need a bit more education.

Illustrator and Photoshop both are very good for making business cards.

 

I also suggest to you Photoshop &  Illustrator is one of the best designing tool for making cards.
