These are two logos I'm submitting for a contest (I'm including a few more, just in case nice people would like to comment). It's my first one as a logo designer (I'm brand new *thumbs up*), so I would appreciate some feedback before I turn them in. I've tried really doing my research on type and whatnot, but I'm still a complete beginner. Help would be greatly appreciated!

The contest is for a two color logo--"Europe@myDesk". The company is designed to connect students to Europe, per se`, via the internet classes.

Thank you for any advice!

Edit: Also, the competition said they wanted something memorable, scalable, and not flashy. So. There's that. Thanks again!

And here is the other set. (Someone tell me if I'm breaking any rules!)

I always think including more than a word or two in a logo is a difficult task - the logo with the desk and country outline, I like the though process but the execution isn't there. The desk looking like a children's school desk - not one likely to be holding a computer or connected to the web. The sky line is interesting but I would work with your type - find a way to make the type unique to this logo, rathe than something you could just type out of our keyboard. Good luck,
Christina

Ok, I'll try that. I was sort of thinking about making the first desk more computer "accessible" but I felt like the only way I could do that was make it look benchy or blockish. Any ideas? (--Or google--)

Thank you for the suggestions!

I actually like the skyline the most...maybe work on your font to match the style of the buildings more...but I actually really like it. Its basci but shows what you're talking about. Its europe and it's at your desk now...:p

The skyline is the best, but dont like the way the structures on the ends get cut off
