Can we or is there a way for a person to post a link to the design that the reported design was copied from? It would save a whole lot of time sercing to confirm or not.

Thanks for posting Sharie..

When we get a report of a stolen image we then have to take our time and try to find it. But if you know where it's from provide us a link to that information. Send a PM if you need to, to sharie, illumina, resurepus, myself or brandyarnold

: )

was me asking, I don't mind searching at all, in fact I love searching you never know what you will find. I asked about posting a link because many times you just don't know what industry the copied design is from

Thats an excellent idea Sharie.

I reported with a printscreen+private message but i believe that, like Sharie said, will be much easier for all.

If a designer gets caught using another image they definitely should be booted not just for lacking imagination but for not covering their tracks well enough. Even novice designers no how to manipulate and muddle stolen ideas to the point of disassociation.

They are booted for theft and lack of integrity. I don't think we should even joke about the idea of manipulation, that is still compromising your integrity....

Likewise... you have very clean and visually pleasing logo work.

OK but do you check first if the similarities are big enough to be called a theft? I mean,... nowadays it's almost impossible to make something entirely new (someone, somewhere, somehow might have made a similar thing, but the uploading designer not necessarily knows that....)

ncuxuka, we take this issue very seriously. Any and all reported or suspected use of clipart or similarities to other artwork are reviewed on an individual basis. We understand that sometimes similarities are an honest mistake.

it's pretty obvious when something is original or not. Concepts are similar, but very rarely are images SO close that they're mistakenly labeled as plagiarism.

Definitely, direct copying of work should result in banishment. And I think ZukiH has a great idea, send a printscreen of suspected work. Though ncuxuka has a point, sometimes it's difficult to be completely original, we could be subconsciously inspired by other work we've seen and end up 'copying' certain elements of the work... And nothing is truly original anymore, is it?
