Can somebody answer this:
A heap of entries in the 'yogalago' contest have been marked as 'problem'.
Is this the CH pressing the wrong button or is there another issue here?
I thought maybe my entry was above the size limit but it was only 600px wide.

What is wrong with all these entries?

Only DC staff can mark "problem". This happens if the designer is not following the rules.
For example:
- different canvas or no canvas;
- grayscale in B&W section (only BW is allowed);
- different backgrounds in flat color or B&W section;
- etc.

EVERYONE should read DesignContest.net Entering Professional Contests before sumbitting any design ;)

Thanks zukiH.
I know what it is now, the alteration of the canvas.
I think a lot of people did this because the CH asked for a logo that works on dark backgrounds. So we all showed a example on a dark background.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Upon further inspection of the entries,
There are a few that have a non flat colour entries with a dark background, that are in the flat colour section of the canvas. But these have not been marked as problem. Why is this?

We are cracking down on designers not following the rules. Some examples that will get your design marked problem and incur an infraction include but not limited to

in other color in the black and section "black and white only" in the B&W section.

not using the official canvas.

more than one concept on the entry

submitting an entry when your post count is invalid. If your posts in the forums are meaningless post padders they WILL be deleted and then that makes your design entry invalid. It is your responsibility to make sure your posts in the forums are qualifying.

I can keep going but if you read the rules and regulations you will see everything I have put here.

Please be careful when you enter a design in a contest and double check your entries and make sure you are using the canvas the right way.

If you are newly registered make sure your posts are qualifying because meaningless post padding WILL be deleted and if that is done 3 times you will be banned from the site. It is easy to to do and you just might might find some new friends and read some interesting things!
