This is in the rules,

"Why don't you allow people to comment on other people's designs within a contest thread?
First of all - whether or not the comment is good or bad, it is not allowed. We are trying to keep the contest as fair as possible for everyone who is participating in it, and by commenting on another desiger's work - this makes it unfair.
If you absolutely have to say something about their work, and can't wait until the contest is over, please send the designer a private message to express your feelings. Any comments posted in an open contest thread of this nature will be deleted, and you will be given a warning."

echelon was correct - the community contests forum is open for others to comment on the designs submitted as well. The following is an excerpt from resurepus's introduction post for the forum:

"Because contests here will be open (you can submit your entries and comment on others' submissions - as long as your comments don't offend anybody and doesn't contain anything prohibited by our rules and the common sense) for all community members and moreover you will be able to suggest a topic for the next contest...."

This is the only forum that we will allow critiquing other's work - simply put - because there is not a monetary prize at stake, so any comments don't run the risk of swaying the contest holder's decision.

Enjoy. I had drawn quite a few designs, but, unfortunately, my pen tool skills are still at the novice stage and so, the drawing didn't turn out to be what it was like, drawn.
Also, I don't really like the 2D look. I'll try to make it a bit more 3-d and try the altered version of this concept.
Would be much easier if this was an art contest forum.

Here's another one. As you can see the original linux penguin is sitting ontop of windows, giving linux dominance and control over the the greedy microsoft windows.

Quality work. What more is there to say.

Hi, guys, I was away for a couple of days and still not quite completely back. Will have comments on the new submissions tomorrow. As for the discussions on how we should run this forum, please, let us try to keep them in the appropriate thread.

P.S. I wonder why nobody tried to play with the variations of MS "Blue Screen of Death" idea in this logo contest

and the winner is... Bugfix.nl with the attached image! I liked your version because you managed at the same time follow the MS style and have a humorous approach to the project. Two more wins in this forum and you will be accepted to the DesignTeam or advanced to the next level if you are already accepted by then. Good job, everybody! Hope to see more of your works in this forum!
