I's currently using windows 7 and I'm fine with it. But when sometimes when I need to do video editing, I prefer using Mac OS.

Mac use to be the OS for the graphic designer. Over the years, Microsoft caught up rather quickly. Now both are pretty equal with the exception of cost. Windows machines can do what Mac can do. I did much on windows xp until about a year and a half ago. Then I finally took the dive and upgraded my laptop to windows 7. I used that for a few months and last Black Friday I bought a new laptop that came with windows 8.1. I hated the interface, not having my start button. But then I downloaded a program called Classic Shell and I got my start button on my Windows 8.1. It uses memory so well and I have no complaints.

I have found over the years that a more expensive mac can be sold for more when you upgrade it. Buy new macbook > $1000. Use it for 2 years. Sell it for $500. On the contrary, used windows machines lose value quickly. Buy new comparable windows machine > $600. Use it for 2 years..... If its still functional, sell it for $200. In the long run, I have had many macs of all sorts, and upgrading by selling the old one has consistently kept me up to date without a net budget deficit.

Also, this 15" retina is really sexy, light, thin, and the battery lasts 8 hours of illustrator, full chug.

Overall, designers who have deep technical skills are capable of building spectacular graphics machines with he Windows operating systems at lower cost.

Mac people are simply not technology oriented. They are Art people.

In recent times, it is clear that PC people who are artists dominat. Review the Crowd Source world

Right brain/ Left brain genius people prevail in the aesthetic competive world.

Mac people are not oriented to technology and are yet focused on what the latest technology can do.

Windows 7 is dead, but what about the latest Mac Operating system?

Without comment, the struggle continues.

Down here in the pedestrian design world, it is not obvious the that international design agencies on a subsciptiom basis, works without concern  about platform.
