Here's my portfolio site... I'm just starting it... There are a few sections still under construction, but i'd like to hear a few comments on the aesthetics of the site and the design itself...

Thanks

Wow. I can finally see your site and I quite like it. =)

I feel like I just stepped out of a Zestfully clean shower. Haha ;)
Anyways, the layouts very clean and fresh and it's not very hectic. The music compliments your site really nicely too and adds to the feeling. Maybe if you get more sound samples or let viewers have a volume adjusting option, that'd be nice. =)
Great job. I wanna see more work in the Portfolio section.

oreokooky:

Thank you :) Your comments made me feel warm and fuzzy

here's the final preliminary site update (a few more bugs to fix :p) with at least 14 portfolio samples:

(I hope the ad on the main index page won't bother you...)

PS: I'll try making a volume control module. thanks for the suggestion :)

very nicely done minimalistic style. excellent choice in audio as well.

although personally i don't like minimalistic style, specially as a "general public" site such as a portfolio (i assume to show to potential clients/employers) as the font may be illegible for some people. i find that fonts of that size are ususally best used for non-essential parts of a site, like audio controls, copyright date, or the like. i also don't like the size of the entire presentation, i would try to fill 800x600 or relatively close.

liking it a lot so far, can't wait to see how the internal parts of the portfolio will look! (like how you show the actual examples)

GooMoo:
Thanks! I'll have your comments in mind and i'll attempt to change the font and the overall look of the site :)

Right now, the site is temporarily down because of hosting issues. :(

Very clean, "fresh" looking site - LoL @ "Zestfully clean shower". Your text slide animations in the menu are very smooth. One quick question though: When you open a new "window" and move your mouse over the X to close it, that sounds like a clip from Super Mario RPG! Is it really or am I insane?
