I don't really read the "b" as a "b". It might work better to bring the b on top of the m, so that the ascender is visible.
Overalll, it feels a little "spread out" to me. It's taking up more area than it needs to - if that makes sense. It's a decent type design, it just doesn't feel like a single, unified piece I guess. Definitely a fantastic start, though. Have you tried something where the M makes up part of a B? maybe something like this:

that's just my opinion - I'm a bit of a moron, so I might be totally wrong. AND - welcome to DC!

Maybe if you got rid of the end on the M where it goes into the b it may be more smooth and mayb do a gradient from purple to green...try it see what happens lol

Try not writing "creations" only in outlines, it makes it quite unreadable. If possible, put no outlines at all in "creations"! Complementing info in a logo should always be as simple and readable as possible! And it is quite small, indeed!
Why don't you try fusing the "m" and the "b" in one single form? It might get cleaner!
And the "b" would be more recognizable as a "b" if it was a "B", got it?
And remenber that a "B" don't need its rear vertical line to be recognizable as a "B"!
You're in the right way, keep it up!

I'll tell you what I have learned from my corporate logo and identity class.
Marks should be simple, meaning, simplified. Your mb is definitely simplified to a degree but the strokes complicate it back. You have also stroked "o" in the word "creations" which is already not visible at smaller sizes. Though you can always keep the mb by itself at smaller size and show creations with it at larger sizes.
I like the idea of keeping the m and b together like that but filling the lettforms with a solid and playing with the negative and positive space where the two meet. Make it interesting...hmmm
Try bringing the ascender of the b into a visible state, rather then hiding it, by showing the overlap with the terminal portion of the m through a difference in color. A third color maybe would do it.. Also, always make sure the logo works with black and white as well.
Good luck!!
