SITAWI FinanceforGood INFOGRAPHIC

Dseign Contest was a great tool for our challenge - we had several designers and ideas competing. During the process, the back-and-forth was very stimulating. At the end of the process, we had a great design and met a very good designer to work with (PixArt) in the future. Thanks all!

Project description

SITAWI FINANCE for GOOD is a Brazilian non-profit organization focused on finding financial solutions for the social sector. Our goal is to multiply the capital available for the social sector and with that, the number of people impacted by social organizations, supporting project expansion and improvement in several areas: income, environment, health, culture and civil rights. What do we want to communicate? We need an info graphic that explains simply—with illustrations and numbers--our innovative model for social finance and that communicates the results we have achieved. We intend to use this material in our presentations, on Facebook, in our newsletter and on our website. See below examples of infographics: http://pinterest.com/mashable/infographics/ What do we want to people do after read the infographic? We want people to donate to SITAWI and feel that our job is innovative and important for the social sector. Look & Feel: Our current website is quite out of date ( www.sitawi.net). To give you a better feel for our new aesthetic, I am attaching the new institutional presentation and our future website home page. We want to communicate a level of professionalism on par with the private sector while maintaining an emphasis on our social mission. Therefore, the info graphic style should reflect an image that blends the seriousness of banking with the emotional appeal of affecting social change. Content: The following content should be included in the info graphic. Awards and Recognitions: Sitawi won the Beyond Banking prize given by the IDB as “best socially responsible investment in Latin America” The math of the social sector in Brazil: 5 billion in donations annually divided by 400.000 NGOs = US$12.500 per organization. A low ratio of dollars/NGOs is indicative of a fragmented social sector that lacks the resources needed to scale impact. What we do? Multiply social impact by coupling financial solutions for the social sector with strategic advising. What we want for the social sector: 1) More capital 2) More types of capital 3) More efficiency We have supported projects in the following sectors: Health, Environmental Sustainability, Employment and Income, and Culture We have 3 products: 1) Social Loans 2)Fiscal Sponsorship and Donor Advised Funds 3)Non-profit mergers Let´s make a “zoom” in the social loan product and explain with an illustration how the social loan multiplies social impact. The top line of the following site could serve as an inspiration: http://inventure.org/using/how-inventure-works 1) SITAWI makes social loans to organizations with proven social impact 2)These organizations repay the loans and the capital is then reloaned to other organizations 3) With each new loan, SITAWI helps social sector organizations impact more lives and fund more projects, creating a substantial MULTIPLIER EFFECT. Our Results: - 11 social loans to 9 social organizations - Social loan accumulated results: (2009: USD$252K / 2010: USD$619K / 2011: USD$963K) = USD$1MM in social loans + advise - The social fund has achieved a 3X turnover 3 times - 15 thousand people impacted Call to action: GIVE THROUGH SITAWI AND MULTIPLY YOUR SOCIAL IMPACT Footer: Find out more about SITAWI on www.sitawi.net Size: The size can be 8 inches wide and 11 inches high.

  • Hello, what size to you want your infographic to be?
  • sitawi means flower? o may you tell me what is the meaning of sitawi please?
  • The size should be the same of a A4 paper = 8.3 inches wide and 11.7 inches high = 21cm wide and 29,7cm
  • Thanks a lot Johnny. If you have time, make some changes in your infographic and take part in the contest!
  • Johnny Albright, this is a great example of an infographic. I would make some changes such as: - the infographic is seeling more “finance” rather than “ social impact”. I think we can add more “social” through more colors , taking away the man in suit and changing some sentences. - We can include ADVICE to the social loan equation. = 1MM + advice / 11 loans to 9 organizations 3x = 15 thousand people benefited. - Add a “call to action” sentence in the end – MULTIPLY YOUR SOCIAL IMPACT .
  • I've just uploaded an example for those who continue to submit logos rather than INFOGRAPHICS. :)
  • Iamsumukh, you did a good job , but the material we need is not that one. We need an infographic. Take a look at these examples. http://pinterest.com/mashable/infographics/
  • HELLO CH Is there any changes you would like to have in my design #2....
  • Tathor, actually what we need is an infographic. This kind of material aims to consolidate information about us such as numbers, products in a graphic way. Find some examples on this link. http://pinterest.com/mashable/infographics/
  • SITAWI means flourish and develop in swahili - an african language!
  • About #1 Do you like it , may I have your feed back please?
  • Hello NTZ33, great job!! I have some feedback: - Instead of write SITAWI, use our brand – find attached to the briefing. - -You have to include that the social fund turned 3 times. And that´s why we impacted 15.000 people. - I´d rather use 15.000 people ( and keep the people symbol), because I think it communicates better the impact than 15 X 1000. - You can use other colors. The infographic doesn´t need to be all red. - Try to include the “math of the social sector” in Brazil: 5 billion in donations annually divided by 400.000 NGOs = US$12.500 per organization. - I didn´t understand the drawings of people in the sequence “How it works” - We have to include our 3 products : Social Loans 2)Fiscal Sponsorship and Donor Advised Funds 3)Non-profit mergers Thanks!
  • Hello CH! Here is my design #4. I apologize for the duplicate entry. I am trying to find a way to delete. I tried to keep it clean and simple. Please let me know what you'd like to change and I'd be happy to make them for you!! Thanks for the opportunity. :)
  • CH, I have submitted #13. With the "how it works" section I tried to communicate recycling of money with the arrows and the multiplication of social impact through the people. Let me know if this is more fit to what you are looking for. Thanks again and as always feedback is much appreciated! :)
  • Dear CH Please have a look at my creative based on your brief. I am awaiting your kind valuable suggestion/feedback to refine it further.
  • Dear CH, I brought a few changes that hopefully you like, in terms of marketing a lot of icons instead will little confusing, I just put the important points that the reader can know about Sikowi outline itself, so I hope readers can understand and agree on what would be submitted or suggested. Best regards, Wian Virgansah
  • So I made a new graphic! #9 I hope you like it! I'm not sure if the number of coins is okay, just let me know and as always simply tell me, what needs to be changed! I'm very willing to make a design you love! ;) Thanks! EnjoyYourDay
  • Wianvirgansah, I like the way you organized the information. I have few feedbacks: - We need to make more clear the social impact and the multiplier efect. - I think the infographic has too much the orange color. ( You may have looked our website, but our visual identity changed completly and as I mentioned in the briefing our web site is not up-dated with that new visual identity / brand).

  • There is a very small amount of interest charges to help cover operational expenses, but for the purpose of the infographic, we should focus on the principle of which a 100% is used for the next loan.
