Winning design #76 by JeeJones, Logo Design for Burlington Pediatric Dentistry Contest

Project description

"Burlington Pediatric Dentistry" needs a new logo to be used for signage, letter head and marketing. Of these words, "Pediatric Dentistry" should be as or more prominent then "Burlington". Our dental office cater's to children ages 0-18 and the logo should be appealing to the age range as well as the families. The office is themed to match the local NATURE of the Niagara Escarpment in and around Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Perhaps nature can be in the logo. The colour scheme of the office is charcoals and whites with accents of lemongrass green, cyan blue, canary yellow and tangerine orange. Colour scheme attached.

  • Entry #14 has a completely different graphic concept, with scampering upside-down-teeth-shaped friendly and fun creatures, which would endear the young patients and warm their curiosity, helping to make them less wary of periodic visits. Print and gadget applications could be a great opportunity in that sense. Let me know what you think.
  • I really like this design. I can easily visualize it on business cards and letter head. However I am having a hard time seeing it used for outdoor signage, how would you use it in that capacity?

Hi,CH.Thanks for the feedback.Let me see if I can do something with the fonts...

  • Thank you for your edit. I like the colour scheme (and appreciate that you pointed out my upload failed), however the icon is not the concept I had in mind.
  • Thanks for your entry. I see a mustache tethered over a grin, or an "S" - and don't understand how that is child friendly or stands alone as an icon. Of the three words, the location "burlington" is equal or secondary to the specialty care "pediatric dentistry" and thus the font and sizing should reflect that.
    • In fact i thought right way of brushing is imp to the target group to get rid of dental problem so i used brush with paste Over the B shape. D and P are also there around tooth. I was wondering if you like the concept smooth finalization and font adjustment càn be made. Thanks.

      |--| Thank you for the explanation. This is not the type of concept I am looking for, it appears too busy.

  • I'd really like to see what it would look like with "pediatric dentistry" bolder.
  • Hi contest holder, i would like to add some points about my entry #2. Ive used three initials BPD, brush, all colors of your preference including a smile in yellow accent and of course a tooth. I ve also shown how it looks like in icons. Thanks. Will improve better after your suggestions if u like the concept.
  • #4 is a revised design, where the sunrise/face icon shows a satisfied smile and healthy teeth; the reduced logo versions at the bottom also feature the inscribed initials BPD.
  • Hi Fabio, thank you for your first draft. I like the softness of the font and the friendliness it portrays, however I feel that it misses some sort dental reference and i don't really get the arrow. Please try again!
    • OK; the arrow is actually a smile within the stylized face, and it points up to suggest a positive and speedy approach. I'll revise the design.

  • Hello, #1 is my first draft concept, featuring a child- and family-friendly icon that's highly relatable and identifiable; although there is no colour scheme attached to the brief, I've based my sample chromatic combination on your office and natural environment tonalities, as specified. I'm ready for your feedback and requests for changes.
  • Thank you for your entry. Not the aesthetic i was going for.
  • Thank you for your entry.
  • I like what you have done. I see myself using only the typed (lower) portion for outdoor signage. Can the faces in bpd range from as young as they appear toward young adult to cover the entire range of patients?
    • SGh

      Sure...no problem!...and thanks for the feedback! :-)

  • thank you for your entry. This is not what I am looking
  • I've submitted #39. Please let me know if you like it:) -Victor
  • same as #35
  • I preferred your smiles design alone or maybe tree alone or less heads...
  • THanks for your entry. The "Pediatric Dentistry" is still too under-stated.
  • thanks for showing it this way
  • Thank you for your entry. I like your design, can you show me in a different colour scheme?
  • Thanks for your entry. It's not what I'm looking for.
