Cafe Logo Design for Muh! Cafe in Germany

Great Logo by my winning designer timeapaal. We are very happy about it. Overall the standard of logos were OK. Out of the 300 designs we received, I would say only 100-130 we of good enough quality. Some were excellent and maybe 4 or 5 logos we good enough to be the winning design. However for the price we paid and the varied designs we got back, we feel the cost was well worth it. Thanks Craig - Muh! Cafe

Project description

Logo for a Cafe/Sandwich shop. STRAIGHT TO THE POINT- WE LIKE THIS STYLE: We really like Orange & green similar to this logo we have seen : http://www.g1creative.co.uk/work/eat-up-magazine-branding PLEASE NO COFFEE CUPS IN THE LOGO! WE ARE TRYING TO PROMOTE A HEALTHY, ORGANIC STYLE CAFE & PRODUCTS. So we like colours such as Orange, Green & brown to represent food & fruit. BIO & ORGANIC is very important in the city of Freiburg, Germany and it is seen as positive if you are health conscious & environmentally 'green'. What we are looking for is a clean, organic earthy design for our name: Muh! Cafe. Muh! is the German written sound of Moo! as in the noise a cow makes. So our coffee shop will be a English/London style coffee establishment. I will also add some links at the bottom of the description of coffee places in London & the UK that have the kind of look we are going for. So the logo itself: Wording of Logo: Muh! Cafe then underneath: Coffee & Deli Words to describe the style: Organic Earthy Healthy Colourful The style we are looking at as a Cafe is more orientated to a European/London style than an American look. The kind of colours we like are earthy colours as we have already mentioned BUT please feel free to experiment. We would like to see your designs & ideas. We don't really want an image of a coffee cup or a bean as every coffee place has that. Here are some links of designs that we like the style of in general: http://www.kaffeine.co.uk/Gallery.html London coffee house ( just to show you the style of shop we would use. http://moocafeteria.co.uk/ nice cafe in scotland of a cafe with a similar name http://www.giraffe.net/ - really popular brand of restaurants in the UK that have a vibrancy & character I will try to add more information to give you more ideas over the next few days. Thanks very much everyone, please contact me if you would like further information Cheers Craig

  • Hi there everybody. Here is a logo that we really like: http://www.g1creative.co.uk/work/eat-up-magazine-branding We feel it expresses that the food that will be made will be fresh & colourful. That is something we would like to see in our logo. We want to appear fresh, clean, healthy & Organic. So use of colours/ shapes would be great if possible. The Bio & Organic look is very important in the city we live in. So something to represent freshness & a healthy lifestyle would be great. We still would like to have a clean strong type/font like the Mulberry. Barbour. Tapped & packed . Innocent smoothies I mentioned before. All very simple but stylish. Thanks again and I hope I'm not contradicting myself in our requirements! Cheers Craig
  • Hi Ch, Yes I did you requested the same style font as your example and no coffee cup and no circle.. Will look into more European style designs I also looked at all the examples you have shown Thanks
  • Hi, don't really know what to say about this logo. I'm actually kind of speechless. Please read the brief & look forward to seeing another logo from you. Craig
  • Thanks for such a quick response. We like the fern but only over the 'e' please so it would be the accent for 'café' . Don't like the coffee bean in the middle. Again simple is more. Please refer to my comments about the British Brands we like the image of: Mulberry Barbour Tapped & Packed Innocent Smoothies G'Nosh dips. The Muh! style of font isn't there yet- we'd like it to be more of a Strong look with the Muh!. Thanks! Look forward to seeing another design soon hopefully Cheers Craig! Craig
  • Hi there, thanks for making a logo for us....but I said in the brief no Coffee mugs please Thanks Craig
  • Hi there, thanks for making a logo for us....but I said in the brief no Coffee mugs please Thanks Craig
  • Hi there, thanks for making a logo for us....but have you actually read the brief? Very American styled and we want an English / European style design. Thanks
  • Hi Thanks very much for taking the time to do a logo for us. We appreciate it greatly. Just wanted to give you some feedback. We like the simplicity of the Design and even though it is only black & white it still stands out. Not too keen on the Muh! font/type. If you could try it in a different style that would be cool. Also the shape isn't what we are looking for exactly. Could you make it either perfectly circular or a square. We like this look which is similar to yours : http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/130586 Wording wise we would like the following: Muh! Cafe Coffee * Sandwiches * Deli Also we aren't too sure of the cow. Could you try one without a cow in it? I hope this helps & I look forward to seeing another design! Cheers Craig

  • Hi Thanks very much for taking the time to do a logo for us. We appreciate it greatly. Just wanted to give you some feedback. Not the finished article yet but we like the Muh! lettering, but not the colour. if you could experiment with a different colour that would be great. Also we need to have underneath the design: Coffee-Sandwiches-Deli please. I hope this helps & I look forward to seeing another design! Cheers Craig
  • Hi Thanks very much for taking the time to do a logo for us. We appreciate it greatly. Just wanted to give you some feedback. We really like the Cafe with the leaf - maybe you could make it into a New Zealand fern leaf as that is where I learnt how to make coffee. Not terribly keen on the Muh! lettering. If you could try it in a different Font maybe? As I said in the brief we would prefer it without a Cup in the design as we feel it is done on every Coffee logo. We like the Green aspect, maybe you could incorporate another colour into it. Please experiment yourself & see what you like. I hope this helps & I look forward to seeing another design! Cheers Craig
  • Just some more information. Please remember less is more. We are looking for a simple, sleek, classic look. WE DON'T WANT TO LOOK LIKE AN AN AMERICAN COFFEE CHAIN. we are aiming more for a European/British style. The kind of brands we look at which we like are : Mulberry. Barbour. Tapped & packed . Innocent smoothies. All very simple but stylish. Any questions please ask!
  • Hi everybody, thanks to everyone who have so far made a logo. We really appreciate you taking the time to do it. Just some general feedback here, but I will give some more detailed feedback directly to the designers. Quite a few of the logos are a round style which look like the old 'Seatles Best Coffee' logo and 'Starbucks'. We don't necessarily want to have a circular shaped logo the example here : http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/162486 was an example of the kind of font/type we like, not necessarily the shape. More feedback to come soon. Thanks again! Craig
  • Dear Craig, Ok, thanks. Today i will make graphics and put on this contest. Any sugestion for this design? Regards, Pawel
