Project description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION We have been contracted to develop brand symbols for a new brand. This particular project will be to develop a logo and an “abbreviated” logo symbol to represent the brand. BRAND DESCRIPTION CITYBRED is a brand that will offer products and services created to assist entrepreneurs develop and market their products and services in the marketplace. It will consist, first and foremost, of an online community dedicated to the sharing of information to facilitate the aforementioned tasks. The brand will also consist of a magazine dedicated to inspire and educate the general marketplace. The brand will hold an annual conference designed to offer community members an opportunity to network and share invaluable information as they grow their businesses. For examples of competing brands check out the following: http://www.entrepreneur.com/; http://www.blackenterprise.com/ LOGO DESCRIPTION The logo should be font based. Our desire is for the logo to be similar in nature to the logo’s of facebook, twitter, pinterest, etc. We desire the font to be distinctive enough to allow us to occasionally use a different color from the standard color. We desire the standard color to be red or a color ranging between red and burgundy. We would also like the designers to develop a symbol that could be used separately that will be used in the url of the website, for apps, etc. Examples: the twitter bird symbol, the symbol p for pinterest, and the symbol f for facebook. This logo will appear on newsletters, stationary, business cards, cd/dvd discs, websites, banners, posters, etc. The idea is that it should be designed to look its best on small to large placement formats. We would like the designers to keep in mind that this logo will appear most often as brand communication for the online community, the magazine and the annual conference. WE WILL NEED THE LOGO IN THE FOLLOWING FORMATS: EPS; PDF; JPEG; PNG

  • Hi CH... please look my entry #18 and #20.. feedback are appreciate.. thx n regards..
  • Hello CH, just submitted entry #16 and wanted to get some feedback on the design. Thanks!
  • We would like to see what this design would look like if the B in bred was capital or the C in city was lowercase.
    • good evening CH... Thank you for the message and ratings.. i uploaded the latest design with lower and upper case entry.. Thank You CH..

  • Thank you for your entry. We prefer a font that conveys strength and constancy. We believe this is accomplished with bolder fonts. We are looking for a simple, memorable, timeless design that conveys strength and constancy. Others have captured our idea of the symbol. Imagine what it would look like if it was an app on a smart phone.
    • Just submitted #49. Thanks for the feedback. Hope I touched on everything you gave me to recreate a logo. Thanks!

  • My partner and I will discuss this design later in the day. Thanks for making the changes and responding promptly.
  • I like this better. If you submit a revised symbol, it would make this design that much stronger. Keep in mind that I will be discussing this with my junior partner later in the day.
    • I submitted a revised symbol. Please take a look #42.

  • We prefer the font of our favorite entries over this font. We also prefer the symbols of our top three entries over this design.
  • Thank you for your entry. We prefer a font that conveys strength and constancy. We believe this is accomplished with bolder fonts. We are looking for a simple, memorable, timeless design that conveys strength and constancy.
  • I like the changes to the font. I would like to see a version where the B was capitalized. I would also like to see a version where the c is lowercase. We would also like to see a different version of the symbol. We prefer the symbols in design #8 and design #33. If your symbol was stronger you could compete with our favorite.
  • Thank you for your entry. We prefer a simple bolder font. We also prefer a symbol using the C in citybred or CB.
    • Thanks for the feedback, thats actually a C, i tried to gather the C with the sharing of info that you mentioned on Brief. The ideia is a C thats talking (sharing info). Sorry if i didn´t pass that message on the logo.

  • Thank you for your entry. This design is a little too artsy. We wouldn't be able to utilize the symbol like we need too.
  • My partner and I will discuss this design along with our top designs and provide you with more feedback. Thank you for making the changes.
  • The font you chose is unique and distinct. This font would definitely stand alone. In this area, your design is strong. I do not prefer the design of the symbol over others. It does not match the boldness of your citybred font. I would like to see an icon design that matches the boldness of the font. Change the C connecting to the dash over the I in the symbol. I would like to see what the symbol design would look like if it was just the C.
    • Hello CH. Thanks for nice feedback. I made all the changes you asked me for #35. What do you think about it now?

  • We would like to see a bolder font and symbol.
  • We prefer your other design.
  • We appreciate your adherence to the brief. Your design is within our ballpark. We would like to see a bolder font. A font that is distinct and legible when it is small. We would also like to see a bolder symbol.
  • Thank you for your entry. We did not like the font on this design. We prefer a simple bold font. We also did not like that the symbol was barely legible.
  • Thank you for your entry. We are looking for a design with a simple, bold font. The font is the logo. The symbol allows us to meet the needs of the different media. This design highlights the symbol as opposed to the font.
  • This design didn't follow our brief.
  • We actually like the font but we do not like the symbol. We prefer a symbol that highlights the C or CB in citybred. We would love to see what you come up with.
