Law Offices of John E. Moore, III

Our experience was much more difficult than expected. After the contest was over, we logged on to decide which one to choose and found that several of the ones we had favored had disappeared. Only after contacting someone from the support staff did we eventually find out that many of the designs had been banned from our contest. Approximately 15 of the entries were deleted from our contest by DesignContest because these entries apparently violated the regulations of the contest. While we understand the need to maintain integrity, we were not notified that these designs were being deleted. In future, I suggest that DesignContest notifies contest holders when entries are being banned from their contest. We eventually chose a design, although it was not one that we had envisioned for our company. The process of finalizing the design was easy enough and the designer was very accommodating and helpful through this process.

Project description

We are a small law office of five people operating in Vero Beach, Florida. We are newly formed and specialize in estate planning. Most of our clientele consists of middle-aged and elderly people, many of whom are very wealthy. We need a somewhat conservative logo but we would also like it to be unique and possibly incorporate something local. We want the logo to include the company name and a symbol. Some symbol ideas we have been throwing around include a compass, sextant (old navigation device) and palm tree (Traveller’s Palm Tree species, or other species ), but we are open to other ideas. We would like the logo to reflect the nature of our business (guidance, assistance, flourishing, family) and be appealing to the people we serve. As previously stated, we have some ideas but do not want the designers to feel that they can only work with those ideas. We are open to other creative, abstract graphic designs. Can't wait to see the ideas! In addition, we guarantee that a winner will be chosen! colors: black and dark/navy blue or dark green

  • We really like this design! Can you possibly use a font similar to the one on our current letterhead (located in the contest brief). In addition, maybe play with the idea of putting the tree on the left of the letters instead of on top. Thanks!

    • Good Afternoon Contest Holder, I changed the background and column effects to green, as well as replaced the lighthouse with a Traveller's Palm. The new logo is #71. Thank you again for your time and consideration.

  • Hello Contest Holder, I just sent #63 for your consideration. Thank you for your time and good luck with your logo search.
  • This is very nice! Can you possibly make the palm tree look more like the Traveller's Palm?
  • Nice design! If we are to pick you as the winner, would you be able to change the look of the palm tree? More to resemble a traveler's palm?
