We are looking for a redesign of the logo for the „Landschaftspark Schmidatal Manhartsberg“ – the „country park (or landscape park) Schmida valley Manharts mountain/hill“

 

Information about the client/organisation:

The Landschaftspark Schmidatal Manhartsberg is a destination for getaways or excursions or even holidays near Vienna, the capital of Austria.

The region is shaped/characterized by smooth hills (with vinyards), the small river „Schmida“ and the small mountain/hill „Manhartsberg“. It offers intact nature (no industry), nice hiking + biking trails and some historical background and sights. One of the biggest commercial sectors is the wine production by small to medium wine producers with traditional vinyards.

 

Current logo

Pls. see attached graphics and PDFs or screenshots showing the use of the logo. The logo is used since about 20 months now.

The illustration/graphic symbolizes the Schmida river (blue) and in green the Mahartsberg hill and nature/vinyards.

 

Reason for new-/redesign

Due to the light font-weight of „Landschaftspark“, the logo is not really suited for small stickers or print on textiles/clothes.

 

Requirements for new-/redesign

The new/redesigned logo shall have a square or near a square format (e.g. allowing production of small round stickers placed on wine bottles, integration in the rounded/elliptic spot used in the print-folders and other printed material)

The words „Landschaftspark“ „Schmidatal“ and „Manhartsberg“ need to be readable, therefore sans-serif font is preferred/the choice.

The words „Schmidatal“ and „Manhartsberg“ must have equal font-size and weight (basically these are 2 sub-regions which – due to political reasons – must have equal priority in the logo)

The colors of the current logo should be kept, if possible or at least changed only slightly / in shades.

 

The new/re-worked logo shall be designed, so that it can bei complemented by further terms/names such as „Vinothek“ (wine store/wine boutique), „Museen“ (museums), „Urlaubsziel“ (holiday destination), Geniessen“ (enjoy), and the like. These could be forseen to be placed alternatively to „Landschaftspark“

 

Because the logo is already public since about 2 years, the use of the current illustration (drop, or leaf shape) was recommended by their communication agency.

However, use of the illustration is not a MUST – if you have better ideas for an illustration, these are also welcomed!

 

For instance, it would be also possible, to use the abbreviation of Landschaftspark Schmidatal Manhartsberg, in short „LSM“ or „LPSM“, too.

An example of a successful use is the wine region „Wagram“ in Austria – logo examples attached.

 

We would need a colored, greyscale and b/w version of the logo.
