Project description

We already have a pretty good logo, but as a company striving for the best, we are looking for ways to improve it. - We've uploaded two files to show our current logo in a basic and metallic version. Please check them out first. - Can it have better Clarity? - The boxing gloves are needed, but make the logo too square for many of our print documents. Is there a way to incorporate the boxing gloves into the logo in some way? - The font of "Pink Gloves" is Lucida Fax. We tried a few others and are open to changes. Readability and style. How can we have them both? - The challenge with this design is to not make it too feminine - that is easy to do with 'pink.' Instead, can you make it grungy yet still sexy. Pink Gloves Boxing is about empowerment. We call it Revealing the Champion from Within. How can this logo show that attitude? - Pink Gloves girls call themselves "classy, sassy, and a little kick-assy!" How can a logo show that? IMPORTANT UPDATE: We have seen your logos so far and they have inspired us to 'hone in' on the direction in which we'd like to see this contest evolve. - The "Triumphant Glove": First debuted in #15, the Triumphant Glove is a glove raised up into the air. It's also present in varying degrees in: #22 (nice adjustments, keep going), 20 (great attempt, looking for more), 12 (reverse directions in the next attempt), 16 (flip around so we can see the palm side), 26 (flip around and make it a more obvious glove), 28 (choose one, flip it around palm-side, and make more real). - How can we make it the definitive Pink Gloves Triumphant Glove? - How can it be so iconic, that you would be able to recognize it if all you saw was the outline of it? - How can it be triumphant, victorious, and just slightly feminine (not to overdo it)? - Working it into the logo: Is it the "O" in "Boxing," or does it go somewhere else, like at the end of the word "Boxing" in the lower right-hand corner. - The Circle Design: First debuted in #11, also in #20, #26. - How can we possibly combine the Triumphant Glove and the Circle? Can the glove be the circle? Can a Triumphant-Glove-Circle be used as the "O"? - NEW: The "PGB Logo": After talking it over with our team, there is another type of design that can win this contest. It is the PGB Logo. - Can you use only the letters, "P", "G", and "B" along with the Triumphant Glove (or Triumphant-Glove-Circle); and using the hourglass shape of #21? Thanks again for your understanding; we appreciate your ability and willingness to continue evolving your designs.

  • hi CH, About #28 i try to take a grunge tuch to your brand and a new idea for a logo_type.. please look at that and tell me all what you want, i'm at your total dispose.
  • do not use clip-art in logo design, your design must be 100% your own work; source: http://www.clker.com/clipart-boxing-gloves-9.html

About #12 Thank you. Yes your suggestions are very good, I will try some variations this evening and post :)
  • Hello nick111~ I created a logo for your consideration that is an emblem-type layout. I incorporated some grunge and grit into the design. Hope you like the concept: #20 Kind regards, PaintedPony
  • I will work on the grungy style and the bit more realistic gloves.
  • Very nice stylish changes! Is there a way to make the glove more distinguishable as a glove? We can see it, but can someone new to boxing tell? It wouldn't hurt to see anyways. We think you're on to something with your 'circle' design. Maybe the letters "PGB" could be curved within a circle. Or maybe the "G" could be the glove in the circle, and the "P" and "B" would be on the left and right side respectively. Hope that made sense and good luck! Thanks for your time.
  • Thanks for your resubmission! This one is really on a good track. How can we add more grunge? I noticed in your Starbucks spoof 'dark side of the moon,' that the edges are kind of gritty. Can that grittiness work with our logo? Maybe they can be combined with a sort of plaster/brick/grunge texture? Also, we love the 'triumphant glove.' Is there a way to have to glove look less Clip Art-esche? We don't have an answer, but maybe you will. Thanks again!
  • Clean layout. How can we add a certain certain of grittiness or grunge to this?
  • We like the idea of the glove in a circle, but how can we have the name still be clear to read? Thanks for your submission! Additionally, thanks for the incorporation of some grunge. Is there a way to incorporate it into the logo itself, as opposed to just the background?
  • I posted #16. I tried to give it a bit of "grunge" I had to make the boxing glove a smidge darker, because the pink was a tad too light, but I can change it to the specific color you posted. Feedback is appreciated.
  • Absolutely, how about this? #15 also had to proportionate the tagline and the slogan to get better results and avoid 'blank' spaces that lacks equilibrium. Let me know if you have more suggestions, this is so fun!
  • We like how you incorporated the curve and the tagline line. What would it look like to make the curve concave instead of convex? This is on a good track. We hope to see more. The position of the gloves gives it a triumphant look. Well done.
  • I rated this one as a "30" I believe that allows you to continue designing. I like the more rectangular design. How can we make the font feel grungy to some degree? Currently, we get a 'western' vibe. Is there a way to make "Pink Gloves" concave? Thanks for your interest
  • Intriguing look, I like the simplicity. Any way to play with the bending the font? Can a lighter shade of pink be used? The circle design is worth exploring more if you're up for it. Thanks.
  • Hi CH, thanks for the useful feedback. Please review my latest entry #7. It's possible to work out 1 or 2 other variations but I reached submission limit. Cheers.
  • Thanks for the submittals so far. The challenge with this design is to not make it too feminine - that is easy to do with 'pink.' Instead, can you make it grungy yet still sexy. Pink Gloves Boxing is about empowerment. We call it Revealing the Champion from Within. How can this logo show that attitude? Pink Gloves girls call themselves "classy, sassy, and a little kick-assy!" How can a logo show that? Thanks for your interest so far, we appreciate your time. I will also update the brief with this information as well.
  • To Whom It May Concern: I have submitted #4 that I've designed. Feel free to share your feedback. Best, EGScoglio

  • CH, #63 is a version with rounders corners in color and black and white. thank you, DM
