Winning design #144 by indreamo, Logo Design for QR Comment Logo Contest
Gold Medal

Project description

Hi everyone, I am asking you to design a logo for my new product called "QR Comment". It basically is a commentary system which works as follows: - My customer creates a QR code in the backend and prints it somewhere - His customers then can scan the QR code and comment on a stream Here are some points about the logo: - The logo should be flat - The logo should have a "landscape" aspect ratio, because then the logo is still readable at small dimensions - The logo should use the colors blue (#295471) and gray (#2b2b2b) - The logo should somehow be connected to this logo http://geekstack.net/geekstack_logo_pdf.jpg. I'm not asking you to copy the exact style, but maybe you can think of a way to make the logo look related to this one. I'm not explicitly looking for a wordmark logo. Nice ideas featuring the theme of the product (QR Code, commentary) will be appreciated :) Please use the comments if you have any questions whatsoever. Greetings from Germany :) Toby

  • Thanks for your submissions. Both are good, but I like the second one better. Maybe you could somehow feature a QR code or a comment. I will add this to the brief.
    • i posted an explanation in the forums at moderator chat and at the design court too. In this contest ALL designs look alike, not just this one. It can be removed but i do not agree with infraction before voting and without defence. Thanks

  • Hi Please take a look at #38 and #39. Made to match geekStack, incorporating QR and comment. Feedback would be helpful. Regards Andrei
    • Hi, thanks a lot. I like the your version of the "QR" with the little speech bubble in #39. Very creative and still legible. Good! Though I find that the letters in the "comment" part don't look as elegantly put together as the letters in the "QR" part.

    • Thanks for feedback. I will work on the comment part, did not want to get too close to what others did before me... will think on something. Andrei

    • Hi I redid 39 as #42, take a look when you have the time. I will work on some more tomorrow morning i am tired and cannot focus right now too well. Cheers Andrei

    • Hi thanks. I really like #42. It's gonna be a tough choice.

    • thanks for ratings #83 is a new entry with the qr/comment above fliped the other way Regards

  • Hi, CH, Can some feedback for my #71, it´s a two M word in the text as mirror, if You have better looking. Thanks!
    • Hi, thank you for this creative idea. But I think its style is too different from the geekStack logo, which of course doesn't make this a bad design.

  • Hi CH Have submitted #47 & #49 Will be happy to hear from you. thanks
    • Hi, thank you for your designs. They both look good, you're a talented designer! Unfortunately, I have to say that they don't match the product as good as other submissions.

  • Hi geekstack can you give some feedback for my design? thanks
    • Hi, thanks for your submission. Your designs are great. I can't find anything to complain about. You're currently no. 1 in the ranking.

    • please see my update design thanks

  • Hi CH, please see design #62 . would love to receive feedback from you on improving my 2nd design. thanks!
  • Wow, I really like the way you illustrated "comment". Great! Maybe you can think of a way to illustrate the "QR" to make it a little bit more legible :) Great work!
  • your entry is too much like entry 59 http://www.designcontest.com/logo-design/qr-comment-logo/entry/66
  • your entry is too much like entry 80 http://www.designcontest.com/logo-design/qr-comment-logo/entry/83
  • Hey CH, I submitted design #56, I was hoping to get some feedback as to improvements I could make, or things you don't like too much about it. Thanks! -Evan
    • Hi Evan, thanks for your submission. As you can tell from the rating, I like your logo. I can't find anything to complain about right now.

      |--| Thank you so much for the rate contest holder. i try . i try to make a revision , some twicks of this concept ,

    • Hi, i think the decision will be made between the two top rated logos. Do you mind to try to somehow add a relation to the QR theme to your logo. Maybe you could put an icon on the left next to the logo. This is all I could think of, but I'm a very poor designer: http://geekstack.net/comment.png

  • Hi CH! Please check out my designs #107 and #108. I tried my best to make the QR logo look coherent with geekStack in terms of line thikness, gaps between letters and their shape. Hope you like idea of the 'comment' elements ;) Thanks and cheers!
    • Hi, thanks. #107 looks really great. A very original idea!

    • Thanks a lot. If you had any remarks or suggestions, please let me know :)

  • I have just submitted #133,i hope you like it.And your feedback are much appreciated.

  • Hi CH, I'm sending new different design #125. I hope you like it. Thank you!
  • Hi, I love your logo. I hope you don't mind, if I have a tiny adjustment. Could you please close the border lines in the upper left corner of the "Q"? This way, it looks even more like a QR code. (http://xtemplate.net/qr.png). Thanks and thank you for your great work, Toby
