Project description

Project Description

The owner of this new online store wishes to have a “Logo and its variations” created to represent this new business that will open in the first quarter of 2015.

The company – Cave Du Roy – is a well-established grape grower for wine makers based in Switzerland. Cave Du Roy wants to expand and diversify its business by becoming the first online merchant selling “all and only” Swiss wines (from all Switzerland regions) to international consumers (not to local Swiss people), mainly to Western Europe countries, USA, and Asian countries.

To achieve this goal, we chose the following online approach. There will be four (4) distinct sites:

  • One (1) eCommerce site for selling the wines – based on CoreCommerce platform) and three (3) children sites (based on WordPress platform) to promote Swiss wines depending of the angle:
  • One site for writing and gathering wine reviews;
  • One site for creating a buzz around Swiss wine being the best kept secret in Switzerland;
  • And the third site being a guide helping people to learn about Swiss wine and to pair wine and food.

Please look at the sites’ architecture herein included (as an image).

We had difficulty to find/buy domain names but we finally were able to get a series of domain names that make sense and speak for themselves. So the common name is undoubtedly “Swiss Wine” and the sub-names which turn out to be the domain extensions are:

www.swisswine.boutique

 www.swisswine.reviews

 www.swisswine.buzz

www.swisswine.guide

So what we would like to get is a “Logo and its variations” representing the four sites.

The idea is that – although each site is either selling or promoting something in regards with Swiss wine and that we will be pushing and promoting the sites differently, we want the visitors, buyers, reviewers, consumers, etc. to somewhat gather that the four sites are linked because they have a “same” or “similar” signature.

Swiss wines are not budget wines but more likely a luxury product in the sense that:

·                 Any given year, wine production is almost the same – there is not really an excess production therefore prices go down;

·                 Swiss producers export only 2% of their wine production (they drink 98% domestically) – wines that are exported are for the majority the top line wines;

·                 Swiss wines are really good wines but people around the world don’t know about that fact – that is why we want to push on the www.swisswine.buzz the fact that Swiss wine is the best kept Swiss secret yet revealed.

 In conclusion:

·                 We want a logo with four variations (for the four sites);

·                 The logo(s) need to be flexible in terms that we don’t have the final sizes for each site – but you are very welcome to suggest a different logo size for each site: (one is eCommerce, one is Blog Format, one is Tile Format, and the last one is Wiki Format).

·                 We want to use the primary logo to imprint on some gifts like: Swiss knife, Cork opener, T-Shirt, etc.;

·                 We want the original ESP files and we want the PNG files;

·                 We want the opposite image (e.g. black/white and white/black);

·                 We want the color chart in “hex color”;

·                 We want the Font.

I strongly suggest that you go on Google and type 'swiss wine logo' - there are so many and we want to make sure that the logo we will choose will accurately represent our distinctive brand - and not as a fish part of a shoaling of fishes.

Feel free to ask questions.

Thank you and good luck.
