Project description

A youth program focused on knowledge integration of Indigenous cultural knowledge and science- we teach young people that by learning from different perspectives we gain a broader worldview. Our focus is on relationship building (with each other, ourselves, and all of Creation) and seek to show young people (particularly Indigenous youth) themselves as scientists by learning in the tipi, the forest, and the lab. Our focus is largely on Indigenous youth but we welcome anyone to access our programs, which are not only about fostering pride and a love of science in Aboriginal children, but also about bringing awareness and understanding to non-Aboriginal children. Our programs offer a different way of looking at the world, in which Western science and traditional Indigenous knowledge are given equal weight and value. Through our summer camp experiences, school workshops and outreach events, we aim to instil in participants a great love and respect for the natural world.

  • i like this font better but i think it could be a bit more youthful somehow-- also, it is "youth program" not plural. I like the original motif of tracks- i think this is a clear and obvious symbol i'd like to see in the logo rather than any other image (although the flower and tree are certainly lovely!)

      |--| Hello CH!! Thank u so much for your feedbacks. I've submitted #3 for your consideration. I kept the original tracks and gave the text a smooth look. Hope you like it.

  • i like that it is simple and image based but don't love the text, or the hand... i'd also like it to say youth program somewhere in there. I like the original text of our original logo and would like to see something similar, but more polished perhaps
  • nice! i like it a lot. I still think the font is a bit off- i like the one you used in #2, perhaps just a bit thicker, rounder, more fun- this one looks to me like a race-car insignia or something, you know? So to combine a more similar text to #2 with the design of this one- on the right "track" though! what we do is very much grassroots, earthy, kid-friendly- a font that gets that across would be awesome.

      |--| Thank you so much for the Feedback. Sure, ill work on the Font. Regards Nandni

  • i like this one but it is similar to the #4- i like the tracks image better on the other one (less pointy)
  • too futuristic.
  • i like the font on this one- i'd like to see the hoofprints doing something different (maybe more staggered or something?) i feel like there are two many of them going on. Something like #17/18 looks more simple, with fewer hoofprints, and i like how they sort of taper out (i.e. get smaller) towards the end
    • Thanks for the feedback here's my other version. #23. Goodluck.

  • i like this one! I am not sure about the placement of the hoofprints- would like to see them maybe in a different design. We prefer the designs where the hoofprints seem to be leading on a path rather than randomly placed or in a pattern.
    • Thank you for the feedback. Here's my revision #19 hope you like it. Good luck

  • We are really enjoying #12 and #11- we like the placement of the graphic in the "C" of TRACKS, but prefer the rounded text in #11. Any way to combine? We also like the font used in #15- any way to see something similar in your design? It would be great to see both of these options to decide which one is best. thanks!

      |--| Sure will combine them and with upload the design soon

  • both of these are awesome. I like the hoofprint a lot. COuld we see them in a thicker font similar to #10? (i like the font for "youth program")
  • i liked your first design (#6) better in terms of font and design.
  • Hi, i sort of like the shape of the text and how it looks, but it is VERY hard to read. It will need a bolder outline and then perhaps it will work. I also am not a huge fan of the shiny glow on the words "Youth Program".
  • hi there, prefer the hoof-prints in sequence, and also text of designs like 10,11, 12.
  • our director likes this one, but not the font (we prefer a rounder font similar to #10, 11) and would like to see leaves instead of hoofprints.
  • Hi CH, i am ready to learn from you how to make #13 represent what your organization stands for. Your feedback will be highly appreciated.
  • here are two hoofprints right in the design (around the "A" and "C") that might be better in different, lighter green- coudl you try that please? thanks!
    • thank you for the feedback. Here's my revisions #35 based on your directions. Good luck.

  • awesome, i like this one better. Thanks!
    • Thank you for all the feedback. I hope I could make the perfect design for you. Kind Regards Nandni

  • 28 and 29 are both a bit too "cutesy"-- i appreciate you taking it in a new direction though!
  • don't love the font
  • hey there! having had some more feedback from other staff members, could we please try this log as well as #25/26 in a font that is similar to #5, 6, and 2? Some people like the rounded font and some people prefer the more simple design- we like the embellished "C" in 22, 21 etc., but it seems a little hard to read- it sort of blends into the "K" a bit. Maybe some revision there? thanks!
  • Hello CH, I have submitted #28 and #29. I can modify accordingly. Thanks, Paul
