Tricked Out Trailers

This was my first experience with DesignContest.com and it couldn't have been easier. The submissions were top notch and all designers were easy to work with. They each took my direction and made great choices in design submission. The winner of my contest was exceptional and I am extremely pleased.

  • Hi CH! I would like to know more about your favorite on the logo. Are you open to just specific symbols , I would like to tell them . What colors do you like ??
    • MFL

I am open to new and fresh ideas. A symbol with the wording "Tricked Out Trailers" under the symbol are fine. I am really driving for creativity in the design. I am also open to colors. I can imagine that I will use multiple color schemes once the award is given as this will be used in a number of ways. Is this too general in terms of direction?

    • Yes and thank you! I would liked to know your business is for all people? I mean from 3 to 80 years old

    • MFL

Custom trailers will have an appeal and target audience more for young adults and up. We can customize and provide nearly any entertainment factors in the trailers but it will be driven by the customers.

Designers, Wanted to take the time to lay out some more specifics for the logo. The design must contain an image of a trailer. The words "Tricked Out Trailers" also needs to be in the logo. I haven't wanted to stifle creativity but a trailer image in the center with the agressive fonts for the wording wrapped around it is a concept I started with but wanted to see others take and influence. A Tricked Out Trailer is basically a party on wheels that you pull behind a pick up truck or SUV. We have also considered having an animal busting out of the trailer coming straight at you (party animal, if to will). We've toyed with this animal being a bulldog with a cigar in his mouth but looking kind of devilish (party animal again). Hopefully, this gives additional direction to all designers. Happy development.
    • Dear CH, Is this more of what you had in mind? #6

  • MFL
I like this concept. Would like to see the font be more aggressive.
    • Thanks for the feedback.. could you better explain what "more aggressive font" means to you? Just for clarity and so designers have a better chance of satisfying your logo design needs. Your thoughts are welcome here, I want to make it awesome for you! The more details the better! :) - Marvel

    • MFL

When I think of aggressive, there is a font from Microsoft called Ravenscroft. It doesn't need to be specifically that font but I like the edginess of that font. I will lay out more specifics in a general post to all designers.

Hi, I've submitted #5. It's not 100% finished but it takes a lot of work so I wanted to check that you like the style? If you do like the style, I would refine each letter, modify the arrows either side of "out" so they couldn't be read as "M". I would shade the text so it pop's more. I can modify the stylised 'T' I have used if they are too out-there. I was also thinking of including a trailer graphic. Thanks, Gary.
    • MFL

I moved away from your latest submission before reading your comments. Please continue with adding your unique trailer graphic. The wording is very difficult to make out. Please work on a complete submission for the proper evaluation. Thanks!

    • GJR

Yes, I understand your comments. I know it needs to be greatly improved upon. I just really wanted to know if you were open to using a street art style logo, and really how far you were prepared to take it. Know I have a feel for that I will work on another submission. Thank you for taking the time to give feedback.

  • MFL
Difficult to read the wording on this submission. Not what we're looking for at this point.
  • MFL
I like this concept...thank you for your modification to single axle style. I want to keep the full "Tricked Out Trailers" wording in the logo. I would like to see some more aggressive fonts used with this concept as well as a different color scheme similar to your initial concept.
  • MFL
The trailers that we are customizing are not tractor trailers. The trailers we build are pulled behind pickup trucks and SUV's and are single and sometimes double axle trailers. This design is too industrial for our business. We are looking for more of a modern and fun design that will appeal to fun-loving tailgaters. thank you for your submission.
    • Please also suggest about the name "Tricked Out Trailers". This name is big for a logo. So can I use it as TT, ToT, or in two or three lines. Thanks

    • As per your instruction, I have change the concept for single axle trailers (Submission #4). Please your kind feedback and reviews. Thanks and Regards

    • Thanks for your kind consideration. I will try my best.

  • MFL
Not what we're looking for. Trailers is also spelled in correctly.
  • CH, regarding #30, I just wanted to show a different color scheme for the dog in this design. Just something fun to look at. I like the way the entire logo now has a unified color harmony. Just an example of another style. :) Thanks Dina...
  • MFL
Thank for the adoption of the outlined text...It makes the wording stand out. Thank you!!!
    • You are very welcome. Glad you dig it. Please let me know if you would like any other changes to be made. :) Dina...

  • MFL
Please keep the "Trailer" wording as large as the top. If this is possible, please reflect. Thanks!
    • Dear CH, Thanks for the feedback, Pls check my revised entry #29. I hope you like it! Thanks!

  • MFL
Thank you for the wheel options. Please incorporate the first wheel option that you have listed. I also want to make sure you level the trailer in the design as well as bring it to the front of the circular wording. You may need to roll the text a little to make sure it can be seen. Thank you!
  • Hello CH! As per your suggestion I have submitted the new updates of my previous by #27. Here I level out the trailer and also makes the variety of wheels. Please give your kind feedback and reviews. Thanks a lot for helping me to improve my work.
  • Check out #26! Gotta be my fav one yet! It almost makes the text look even more aggressive now. Let me know your thoughts... Dina
  • MFL
This worked out well....I appreciate the flip. Is there any outlining that can be done on the text in white or something. Just looking for something to make the text pop!!
    • I can sure work on it for you. Ill try a few different versions and send you which I think may work best. :)

  • CH, Good call on flipping the trailer! Had more room to enlarge the text a bit. And I dig how the ripped portion of the metal now appears slightly layered over the text....adding more dimension. Will await feeback. :) Thanks! Dina
    • I also wanted to explain my concept behind the dog for ya. I wanted to create a cool "cat" who appears chilled out, relaxed, and of course a party animal. I found it important to NOT use an angry bulldog face, as you want to appear friendly to your customers and scream party, modern, and fun, not mean and unapproachable. Dina

  • MFL
Can you flip the trailer to be pointing in the other direction. Petty I know but would like it point in that way. I would also like to see if you can make the wording any larger if possible. Thanks! If you were a customer, would you buy a trailer from us??
    • You kidding me! This is right up my alley! I would def buy a trailer...or two money permitting. lol. I will flip it for ya and see if the text can be larger...without making it appear off balance. :) Thanks!

  • MFL
Thanks for the submission. Like the bulldog but either lose the hat or make it a bad ass hat like a top hat or pimp hat. Make the background simple and white wash to see the details. Can you add some color to the trailer and would also like to see the wording larger and more bold. Consider colors for the text as well.
  • CH, Ok...please check out #23. I created a side view of trailer for you and made some shiny custom chrome rims for the low profile tires. As you can see because of the shape of a side view, I placed the text on the trailer as well. This allowed me to position the dog in a great spot and to help keep the logo unified. Will await additional feedback. :) Dina
