Project description

I have uploaded a 2 new files with an idea coming from some friend I found it interesting... May be someone wants to elaborate on this? -------------- The business environment must adapt its practices and product to remain competitive in a world where the Y generation becomes predominant. why innovation ! enables large organizations (top500 cnies in telecom, finance, retail, industry, etc. who are usually quite conservative) to define and develop innovative digital solutions in order to better connect/engage their customers and partners but also their own employees. We sell to conservative people (usually 40-50 yo, majority male) and we want to provide an image of trustworthy but out-of-the-box and fun; we foster creativity, new ideas but in an orderly way, with method and tools; we promote and instil agility into the organization for fast collaborative decision making and empowerment but we are pragmatic and know what it takes to change a culture. Some comments about the name that might help to align the logo with our vision: Why innovation ! ---------------- The "why" refers to the Y generation; we explicitly state the purpose of the company: innovation and it’s rational: the Y generation coming The "!" contradicts the interrogative nature of the name. It’s suggest an affirmation actually. Innovation is a must. The contradiction between the “why” and “!” is also somehow provocative and out of the box which are values of the new co. Strapline: "connecting the nextGen" Connection is an important key word as we claim that the future is all about collaboration, feedback, social networks, agility, internet of objects, etc. all about the connectivity both as a technology and a mindset. Some personal thoughts about the logo (but I don't want to restrict too much your creativity guys!). Some attributes I could see for the logo: * Catchy, fresh, dynamic * Simple, clear, meaningful * Modern, innovative, out-of-the-box * Fun, joyful, young * Balanced, reassuring, trustworthy Some thoughts about colors (but I am not a designer, please do not consider this as requirements): * White: innovative, tech * Yellow: fun, creative, fresh * Red: exciting, grab attention, danger * Blue: serious, trustworthy, quiet * Black: strong, structured One more idea: the Y could be drawn representing earphones (see attachment) Hope it helps Thx

  • Hi, I like the Y :-) But orange I'd like to avoid And the bubble I found a bit cliché when it comes to innovation... but i like the connection of the earphone with the bubble which supports the strapline: "connecting the nextGen". Any way we can make it a little more catchy? I found the association of colors too flat... my initial idea was to play with the red color and use it for the ! for example could you try also some variants with a dark background? Black? Dark blue? Using white for text? thx, cheers
  • i preferred the previous one this one is too light But i like the ! more. can the earphone be with earplugs in the other way? I am going to add a couple of files with the brief to give you some idea I had... Some variants I'd be happy to see: red ! (and may be dots?) Black background
  • Hi alipsat, I like this one more but still I am not so fan of the bubble stuff. not really innovative! Also too much red But i do like the black background Did you have a chance to re-read the brief? I have made some addition that you might find useful thx, cheers
  • No I don't like it too much... :-( But it's different from others which i like :-) Please re-read the brief, I made some additions that might be useful to better understand the concept and my expectations.
  • HI, Thx for the proposal. I like the black and blue color association. Gives a feeling of seriousness, stability. Analytical though and some warmer color for fun/creativity would be nice. It's simple but also a bit cold. The bubble for innovation is a bit cliché and easy. In addition as the name itself contains already "innovation" I don't see it bringing much. The strap line is "connecting the nextGen". the image could refer to this connectivity concept. Can we also give a feel for agility? thx

      |--| One more thing I forgot to mention, I also like the line connecting the "i" and the "!"

  • Hi ccboy, I like the use of multiple color but I am not so fan of the green. What about a yellow instead? I like the line that connects the dots :-) Gives a sense of movement and agility. Would you be able to change the Y in "why" with a drawing of earphones that make a Y form? Could you also try to make the exclamation mark more round and more catchy? What about introducing some red? cheers
  • Thx for your submission I don't like it too much though:-( As mentioned in other comments black + blue is a bit dry (too analytical). Please refer to the brief I updated for more info cheers
  • Hi Thx for your proposal. I like the use of 2 colors for the name. But I would like to avoid the orange color. The grey is not my preference either. The bubble for innovation is a bit cliché and easy. In addition as the name itself contains already "innovation" I don't see it bringing much. The strap line is "connecting the nextGen". the image could refer to this connectivity concept. Can we also give a feel for agility? thx
  • 3 hours ago HI, Thx for the proposal. I like the yellow color but would prefer to avoid the orange. The bubble for innovation is a bit cliché and easy. Can we also give a feel for agility? thx
  • Hi, Thx for this quick proposal. My comments: * I like the black colour and the blue one. * I don't see what the "W" brings to the message. I'd rather use "Y" instead which represents the Y generation * The black and blue association irradiates balance, seriousness, and strength. I found it a bit analytical and would like some more creativity and fun colors
  • Hi, I found the logo convey the messages i want. The earphone design is nice The connection concept btw the Y and the innovation is meaningful But i also found it too "cartoon" A bit too complicated may be the font could be more "serious"? may be no different colors for the name? I am not sure why but something missing or something too rich? But on another hand I found you get the idea right. Can you explore alternatives? May be go back to the brief and check with the characteristics/attributes I mentioned? thx
    • I have changed the font and color. but I can not submith, due to hit the limit. you can see the revision in http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/af289/putraftr/Designs/whyinnovation2.png You can give feedback here.

    • I remove a few of your input as I understood that you can have 4 max. I prefer your proposal o be on the site so that other people can also see it and comment to me. I'd like to see with the ! red thx

    • I am new at this site so I do not quite understand the rules here. I also wonder why I still can not submit my entry, even though you have deleted some of my entries. revision of entry: http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/af289/putraftr/Designs/whyinnovation2A.png

  • Yes I thing we are progressing in the right direction Could you try blue instead of yellow? Can you also rotate a little bit the circle/y with same angle as the ! (the Y generation makes the world turn...) I'd be happy as well to see variants on fonts. can you make it? cheers
  • Hi, I don't like too much the bulb icon for innovation. I found it's too cliché actually. Something more about agility or connection as the strapline is "connecting the nextgen" cheers
  • Hi, No new entry from you yet. Can we try to progress based on the feedback I gave you? Would you be able to revert the color? Keep the word in white and the background in black (dark black in the middle and lightening as it goes? I like the effect. May be the line could connect just the I and the !. Can you try the ! without the bulb and in red? cheers
  • Hi thx for the proposal. I am not so keen on the bulb to represent innovation. I found it's too cliché. I am also not so ken on 2 colors for the name cheers
  • Hi ccboy, your design is still in the top 3 :-) Could we work a bit on variants? I liked the "1" of the #10 But don't like too much the earplugs stuff doess nt render too good I also don't like too much the blue color could you also try to but some black background? I just heard that you can have only 4 proposal at a time so I removed some. could you ry as follow: * black background * the ! from #10 in red * all writing in white * but the circle in yellow as well as the line on top? thx
  • I like it. fresh and simple but I don't think it fits with the target market of the cny. I'd prefer something that inspire confidence and trust while I think this one is mainly fantasy and young. cheers
  • i found it too childish
  • "Why" referes to the Y generation Its not actually a question mark I like the simplicity of the concept but not too much the yellow color no upper case in the name thx
  • creative! but i don't like it too much too complicated? too much colors? cheers
