Project description

Matrix Brakes are lightweight aluminum / ceramic composite brake discs for motorcycles. Our technology allows more ceramic content (particles) near the outer perimeter of the disc and a lower amount inward - this is called a functional reinforcement gradient. The disc looks and feels like aluminum yet it has the ceramic inside. The center portion is just aluminum and can be chromed or anodized black for a nice appearance. These discs are 60% lighter than the standard steel disc and are guaranteed for life. We also sell them for small electric cars. The brakes are priced at premium levels, $400, in comparison to $80 steel brake. The new logo will help us redesign the website as a follow-on activity.

  • Would #5 sufficiently fill the requirements? I am trying to make sure that I understood the brief correctly!
    • Don't like it. Looking for a logo that would stand alone w/o text and is enhanced with text

  • hi... CH... Please check my entri # 17, Any feedback will be helpful. Thanks
    • This is the best one so far.

    • Just as a warning against copyright and trademark infringement, it is very similar to the beats logo.

  • Hello CH, thank you for your interest in my design #2. Is there anything I can do to better suit your needs? Different colors or something more to the logo?
    • Sure; see the image on the bottom of this page: http://www.matrixbrakes.com/technical-info.aspx. Our product is unique in that there are more ceramic particles on the outer perimeter and less in the inward direction. We call this a gradient, and it would be really cool if the logo could demonstrate this. Thank you.

    • Thank you for the heads up CH. I have just submitted #22 with my interpretation of your company's unique gradient. Hope this design is more towards the right direction.

  • Dear Andrew, please give me your early feedback and directions to make my designs (#46 and #51) better and suit your style. Thank you

    • Hi Andrew Check out #92. Thank you very much. Andrei

  • This can be viewed as M3, like the BMW model. Can you tweak it to clearly be viewed as MB?
    • Hi thx for your message.. Plz check this new entrie #87...................

  • That 'M' inside the rotor looks like elephant ears for a child toy, not like a high tech product
    • okay........... i will try yo re mofify it.......... bro you want the logo to be professional style of "M" huh......? or drawing style...... how about #43 "M"....?

    • same feeling, too fluffy

    • ok........................ i will remodify...........

    • bro may i know which pattern of rotor among my all designs you liked.... so that i will stick on to that pattern......... #43 , #48 , #49 , #62 , #63 , #64 , #65.....

    • hey bro... i have submitted #68 design..... tell me , did you like it...? bro also please do ratings for my designs too ... so that it helps me to know how much i should improve more... !!!

    • bro check for #78 #80..... how are those designs...........?

  • Hi ch here's my concept #50. Feedback and direction is appreciated. Good luck.
    • too much detail in the center and I don't know what it means. Try integrating the MB initials in it and you'll be in the running.

    • Thanks for the feedback. Here my revision #70 I tweaked it and added MB as per your suggestion. Good luck.

  • Looks like a motorcycle, yet it should be known that these brakes are also used on small electric cars
  • I like it. Try some other disc designs surrounding the MB.
  • The center of our rotor can be designed in many ways, so we won't pick this logo because it restricts our design to look like this.
