I am looking for a premium monthly white paper for a corporate audience to be designed.


Each report covers one topic in depth, and comes out to 60-80 pages in length. The report is published as PDFs for download.

I have been using MS Word for these and it's okay, but I think it's time to update the layout, look, and typography with professional help.

I am looking for a clean, modern design with maximum emphasis on legibility (given the length of each report). The design must look amazing as PDF output. I will need either MS Word template or Mac Pages template, with styles defined, as well as any graphic assets (e.g., logo, recurring images, etc.)

I am not wedded to any particular color scheme, brand standards, logo, etc. So feel free to be creative.

I'm adding a sample report so you can see what I have today, and what I'll be needing.

The concept uses a smooth saturation of the images to permit the red color of the company to be the very eye catcher.   • I will upload different page presentations of the Word Report that I created.
    Please note that changes can be made also colors can be adjusted to your liking.
    I used Futura font for Headlines and Garamond for the context as they work well together.

  • About #2, @rsh2k1, I've made this in word. I have prepared a word file and divided it into each section (all sections in one file), so you can just fill in the content. This preview has been applied in Word. Thank you.
  • Hi there, Are we enough to create a template per section (according to the table of contents) or do we have to make a layout preview of 80 pages?
    • @mahdiduri37 One template per section please. No need to layout the whole thing.

  • The CH asks for either as MS Word or Mac (Apple) Pages template as the final product.
    He seems to be pretty good at running the word processing programs.
    Once in a while writers who are self publishing will use sophisticated page layout programs, but this is rare.
    The word processing templates available on-line are not up the aesthetic standards he is hoping for.
    They are generally simple but elegant reports.
    His publication needs almost a magazine quality layout.
    To my mind, I think that this will be difficult in word processing but easy in InDesign.

    I am not sure if his end product is delivered on paper or if it is electronic (PDF, html).
    The sample PDF appears formated for paper.
    If he is planning to deliver an electronic product, this would be an excellent opertunity to consider what his report would look like on a tablet or smart phone.

    Some clarification is needed.
    • @HerbertNordal I agree that this will be easy in InDesign; the problem is my then using that template going forward. I'm not looking to have to learn InDesign just to write a white paper once a month, but I also don't have a designer I can work with every month for layout. The end product is electronic (PDF). But readers will often print such a long document, so it has to be decent on paper. But it is not published/professionally printed. I am looking for a "simple but elegant" report template that I can reuse.
