Winning design #33 by chattycat, T-shirt Design for Monk Seal Non-Profit needs T-Shirt Design! Contest
Gold Medal

Project description

We need someone to design a t-shirt for the Monk Seal Foundation. (www.monksealfoundation.org) We're a non profit dedicated to the preservation of the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal. We have t-shirt designs with our logo on them but would now like to have something we can sell as a fundraiser. So, the design needs to be a bit more fashionable then just putting a logo on a shirt. But at the same time we want something that will have a more general appeal so it can't be over the top or too elaborate. Need something that will appeal to both men and women. There aren't any design restrictions on color vs black/white. Either is perfectly fine.

Comments

  • Same comment/design as #15
  • Definitely like this concept better. Only issue is the image of the seal. While it's what most people think of as a mental image of a "seal", it's not a monk seal. Monk seals don't get into that body position.
  • So I created a different seal, If you think it is to small, or if wou want something different let me know and I will make the changes. Thank You- Swade
  • I made the whiskers thiner and ached down, the URL is fixed sorry about that. It was a last minuete change and I should have spent more time proofing it. If you have any other changes let me know.
  • @ contest holder glad to hear that. let me know if you need any other changes.
  • Would be better is the whiskers seemed more like whiskers. (thinner and should arch down) Also, the URL you included isn't our web address.
  • For the most part you got what we were saying. It's close enough that if we were to choose this design it would just take some minor revisions.
  • @contest holder don't know if I fully understood your comments on the design.Hope I did. new design #25 thank you
  • Like the concept. Would be better if it was a better looking seal. (the one on the NOAA sign where the idea comes from is bad as well)
  • Same as #18 comment.
  • Like your aesthetic and the inclusion of the url.The problem is the tail image you're using to represent the seals is almost universally accepted in Hawaii to mean whale.
  • site giving me hardtime uploading don't know why this one same as #14 but bigger so you can take a better look designKB
  • too bad you didn't like my first seals but : made you this new one and i think this is pretty good myself :-) hope you do too designKB
  • We'd prefer designs that don't actively incorporate photos pulled from the internet.
  • One more comment on the front flipper...if you look at what would be the seal's right flipper you've got the "3 sides" it's just the hand drawn one that goes to a point.
  • We definitely like the concept and would like to see a revision. Things that could improve it: 1.) Some tweaks to the front flippers so they don't just go to a point (essentially in a drawing there should be 3 sides to the flipper not 2 if that makes any sense) 2.) If the words Monk Seal Foundation were somehow made a bit more prominent.
  • DesignKB, we mean we don't like the seals you've designed. The overall concepts you're working with on 1 and 12 are ok but not the seals. Also, better to just have one seal in a design then a group as these types of seals are rarely in groups.
  • We're very familiar with this photo. The rights are owned by NOAA.We'd like to see something that doesn't use a photo pulled from the internet.
