Project description

Hello all, I would like to replace the web banner which is currently on the website CalculerSonIMC.fr What I want is a new banner according to these specifications : - Size will be 780 pixels for the width. And between 120 and 145 pixels for the height (so the banner will be shorter in height that the current one). - The banner must display the 2 following texts (without the quotes) : "CalculerSonIMC.fr" (which is the name of the website) and "Calcul de l'IMC et portail sur l'obésité" (which is a quick/short description of the website). - The colors must be in the tones of the website - The banner must have at least 1 graphic, and this (these) graphic(s) can be a little bit playful. Ideally, the graphic would be both playful and about the obesity (which may seem contradictory, you are right). - My need is to have a professionnal banner : a banner that makes people understand that the site is serious. - The text "Calcul de l'IMC et portail sur l'obésité" can be written on 2 lines if needed. For your information "CalculerSonIMC" means "CalculateYourBMI" (Body Mass Index) and "Calcul de l'IMC et informations sur l'obésité" means "BMI calculator and informations about obesity" - "CalculerSonIMC.fr" will be in biggest font than the second text because the second text is just the summary of the website. - PS: Forget the "flower" which is currently present on the current banner (on top/left). The elements on the actual banner have no senses : you do not have to keep them. - I prefer something that is not too straight (something more graphical would be better). - If the banner fits well to the site, then this is the key, whatever the color(s) that are used. - The banner should not retain too much the attention. - I like the fact that on the current banner on the website, there is a sort of extension of the site to the top. I mean that the banner is integrated with curves, this is not just a "rectangle". Do not hesitate if you have questions or if you have misunderstood something in my description. Best regards, Mickael DELAUNAY

  • Thanks for this entry. I am looking for something which fits better the website : it's odd that the grass makes a transition so sharp, don't you think? What I like in the current banner on the website is that the transition is not "abrupt". I think this is important. In addition the text is very big I think. I am looking for something which is more soft. My need is to have a professionnal banner : a banner that makes people understand that the site is serious. PS: The whole text of "CalculerSonIMC.fr" should not be in upper case.
  • Thanks for this entry. - The picture is a bit "dramatic" should be a rather less dramatic graphic element. This is not necessarily a photography, I would prefer something a little "abstract", more neutral. - The banner retains too much the attention. The banner should really be more neutral. People who suffers from obesity do not have to be offensed.
  • Thanks for this entry. - I think the problem here is that I have already seen those 2 photographies a lot of time, this is "very basic" (given the fact that i am into the field of obesity). Especially the photography on the left. It would be more original and interesting to use another graphics. - The text is too big and "very basic". You do not have to fill the entire banner. The text can fill only 1/4 of the banner (for example). And the graphic element(s) for another quarter (for example). What I want to mean is that the banner is not very high, so it should be a little airy and it should not retain too much the attention (this is not an ad). And to do so the white could maybe be better (like on the current website).
  • Thanks for this entry. - I think the banner does not fit properly to the site (especially the bottom of the banner). - The picture is a bit "dramatic" should be a rather less dramatic graphic element. This is not necessarily a photography, I would prefer something a little "abstract", more neutral. - The text "Nous croyons que, le long", does not mean anything ;) and is not necessary. Best regards.
  • Hello all, Thanks all for your entry. Your works are very interesting. I'm sorry if I do not respond for every entry, but here are some comments if it can help for you to understand my ratings: - About #49, thank you, but the banner is too "busy" (too many things at once). - About #50, color is very strange and the illustration is not very readable - About #47, thank you manila, but I really prefer your entry #26 because I like the fact that the rule is a little bit "out of the banner", it gives a very professional look I think. And the text is also very great. The illustration is very clean but the problem is just that the fork is too specific (obesity is not only about food), and the rule is in inches (in meters it would be better), and this yellow rule is quite common I think. That is why I have chosen the entry #42 for the moment. For the moment my choice is #42, I just want to confirm with some of my friends. Thank you all and sorry for not being able to pick more than one entry.
  • HI CH please check my new concept in this entry #50, Regards Salman
  • I would appreciate if you can give feedback to entry #49 If i can to improve the quality of design let me know. Thank you
  • #47 thanks for the ratings here is my revised entry.. I included a BMI chart as a background for the title & subtitle.. and all photos that can relate to what the your website offers. (note: istock photos used in this entry)
  • Thanks for this entry. Just a request: the text is a little strange at the top (because of the light?). Can the text be more like #27, I mean without this "attenuation effect". I think that the text is more readable on #27 or #26 for example than on #44.
  • You can give feedback to entry #46 I want to know to be able to improve the quality of design. Thanks
  • Thanks a lot, choice will be hard between #44 and #42...
  • Thank you for your comments :) Added #42 and #43 : Softer curve (both sides and left side only). Regards,
  • Thanks a lot Creativita for your comment and for #40. I love the font and the black for the text. The background is also great. In fact everything is fine for me, except the curves that are a little too pronounced. Can you submit the same banner with a curve like the one on #26 : flat on the left, and a soft curve on the right which is bent upward. I hope this is my last request for you, your work is very interesting.
  • Dear CH, Added #40 : As requested, changed the background, text (black as option) and added curve. Added #41 : Same as above but w/o the curve (added shadow instead) and text color changed.
  • Thanks for this entry #27 ThtKidRyan. Can I ask you to place the scissor a little bit more on the right ? (close to the number 14 of the rule for example). And to reduce a little bit the size of the scissor (a reduction of just 20% will be sufficient I think). Another thing : a little more space between the top and the bottom of the black line of the left (just a few pixels)
  • Sure, Will submit it asap. And no, not boring at all :) CH with lot of feedback is much much better than a CH with minimal feedback. Regards,
  • Thanks a lot for #31. I hope I am not too boring but can you do the same banner with a curve similar to #26 (it is better integrated I think, compared to your banner) and the font of the text also similar to #26. And something different for the background (the stuff next to the text), maybe something more like #33 or #27 for the background.
  • #24 : I really like this one, it is very professionnal. 1. Can you do something about the font ? I mean the font of #1 or #27 has more work. 2. Can you reduce a little bit the height of the banner ? I think that it needs some small adjustments to have a look more professional. 3. Maybe some little stuffs can be added in the background on the left ?
  • About #25 Hi CH, herewith my entry let me know if i meet your needs. Glad to hear your concerns. Thanks, Cyrixian
  • Hello CH, Submitted #24 . Waiting for your feedback. Thank you.
