Project description

NutriLawn, Inc. is a lawn care company in Northern California. We want to upgrade the look of our fleet of trucks. We specialize in lawn, ornamental, and tree applications for both residential and commercial clients, including fertilization, broadleaf and weed grass controls, pre-emergent herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and diagnostics. This is not a landscaping service; we do not mow lawns, prune, hedge, etc. We are a chemical use company. Our marketing platform is based on being the premium service in our area, which is backed up by our 35 years of experience, a vast knowledge and understanding of our field (both generally and locally), and being the most professional and reliable service in the area. We want to provide the highest quality service possible.

We currently have 5 white Ford F-150s (2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2010) and 1 white Chevy Silverado 1500 (2006). All trucks have regular cabs with an extended 8’ bed. We would like a design that we could adjust to fit each of the trucks.

Our goal is to have a simple, clean, striking design that is easily recognizable from most directions. We want it to be minimal and modern. The colors primarily used should be whites, greens, and browns, although blues could be used as well. The design for the sides of the trucks need to include our logo, phone number(s) [530-891-1551 and/or 530-891-LAWN], website [], and “Turf and Ornamental Care”. The tailgate of the truck should also have our logo, phone number(s), and website, as well as the following list or bullet points:

Weed Control

Turf Pests

Shrub & Tree Services

Aphid Control

Fungicides & Diseases

We have included a VERY rough (quick MS Paint) rendition of a design we thought would be fitting, as well as the original design we drew the inspiration from. It is meant to be large blades of grass. We would prefer that they were not realistic blades of grass, but that it was still easily recognizable as grass. If you would like to take that idea and run with it, please do so, but if you have a better idea we welcome any and all designs. You are the professionals after all!

Thanks for your time!

  • Please consider extending the time, Thanks.
  • I exchanged the slogan with the website address #43
  • option #42
  • Hello, thanks for your entry, this is great. Could you try re-positioning the web address to the left some? It feels a little off kilter.

My co-worker and I actually like the lime green front, we are imagining it done in matte. However, the owner wants to see that lime green a different color green, maybe something darker. Could you give us a couple different options? #29
  • Hello ch, Please check my design in your contest hopefully you will like appreciated feedback thanks #35

    Dear CH,
Thanks for the positive feedback, here is the requested revision #18, Hope you like it .
    Best Regards & Thanks.
  • About #11, @ideasstudio We like the blades on the back end, but want the front blades removed. We would also like the blades to have gradients to give them a bit more depth. And please move the "Turf and Ornamental Care" to where the phone number is and move the phone number to the bed of the truck. Thank you!
  • About #10, @adi_saos please give me design direction like what you expect. thanks
    • @adi_saos We loved a lot of your other designs from other contests. This design, while very well done, is a little generic and does skew towards retro a bit. It is somewhat difficult for us to give you really specific directions since we do not so this for a living, but we'd like to see this move in a more modern direction that is more representative of what we do as a company. Possibly add some elements that tie our specific industry into it (we keep going to grass for example because that is the obvious choice).

  • Can you please redo the logo to remove the "inc." with nutri lawn centered to the teardrop? And can you also do a second version like that but with the logo size reduced? We think just removing "inc." might help with the logo size issue but we'd like to see it both ways. Please update the tailgate logo in the same manner. #17
  • This looks great! Loving the green swoop #17

  • About #12, @ideasstudio
    Dear CH,
Thank you for your comments and suggestions.#11 & #12 is the revision. Hope it get closer to your needs. Please let me know if you need any more changes.
    Thanks & Regards
  • Thanks, we like this. It looks very clean. It has good balance and looks very professional. Our only complaint is that it doesn't stand out very much, it is not as unique or attention grabbing as we'd like. #10
  • The logo at the very back of the bed on the side design seems a bit too cluttery for this design. #5
  • Thank you for your entries! Of this line of your similar entries, this one is our favorite. We like the grass, it fills out that space a bit. We really like the tailgate design being split like that (green on one side, white with the logo on the other), but aren't as sold on the side design. The logo is a little large on the side, seems a bit overwhelming. We also think the geometric element separating the white from the green is not quite right, we were hoping you could play around with that a bit. #4
  • Forgot to mention, we sometimes remove the "inc." from our logo. It can look a bit cleaner. If you think that looks better with your design, please do so. Thanks
