1. From your Adobe Fireworks CS3, open a document that contains the object you want to apply a bevel effect on.
2. select the Pointer tool from the toolbox and then select the object and it will get a blue outline around it.
3.Click on the "+" button next to "Filters" on the right of the "Properties" pane. The effects will now be displayed on a pop up menu.
4.Go t to "Bevel and Emboss" and select "Outer Bevel†or "Inner Bevel" . The "Inner Bevel" will bevel the objects into the canvas inward, and the "Outer Bevel" bevels the object outward. The effect will take place immediately on the object.
5.Double click the bevel effect from the list of effects under "Filters†and a small window will display containing the settings available for the bevel effect.
6.Using the menu at the top of the window select the bevel type you want to use.
7.Set the contrast, width, softness and angle for your applied bevel.
