May be this option should be active only for a couple of minutes after the submission, enough time to notice that you've submitted a wrong design.
If it's possible at any time, I think it will be confusing for the CH and make the contests very chaotic in general.

Yes If at any time be removed and reattached would cause chaos. So what I propose is: there is a button to request the replacement of the wrong design. Being that there should be a short text justifying such action, together with administrators and those could try the case in a timely manner so that the designer does not harm themselves with the contest. Always something to add or subtract to evolve. This topic is interesting and important.

I also agree with yusmarmn. withdraw option for designers will be helpful only.
at least we can withdraw option after close the contest.
for example look at the contest Burrissimo website home page has closed more than one month but still we can't able to withdraw my design as the Contest holder didn't announce the winner.
I hope in future we can avoid this kind of situation.

+1 for this feature. I'm an experienced designer but new to DesignContest. If you upload something then immediately realize you missed something, you should be able to withdraw, especially when limited to 3 submissions for contests. The rating system is great, but missing the mark on initial concepts shouldn't prevent someone being able to submit more ideas. As for the CH getting confused, how about allowing withdrawal unless it has been rated or commented on?

i agree too, in my case. if i submit the wrong design, then i've to contact DC support to unwithdraw it. in this case, works fast when DC support is online to live chat. but if don't we need to take a couple hours. it could be 2-4 hours to be withdraw.
i agree if after a couple minutes submitting the entries, we could see the "withdraw" feature.

Hi everybody. I think we would create this functionality:
every designer would be able withdraw his/her entry during 10 minutes after upload.
@eximius - if the designer would be able to withdraw eliminated work, this would mean that Level 1 designer would have possibility to post unlimited number of entries, and the Level system would not work properly.

Maybe the withdrawal of eliminated work depends on the level of the designer so it won't affect the limited submissions of levels 1-5... But please, I hope this could be possible for them too, if and only if the contest was already closed so the portfolio won't have so much entry...
