Cem (seawise) asked me to post a picture of the pinting I am working on, so here it is It is far from being finished, but you can already see the composition.
A very good friend of my girlfriend is a pianist and she likes cats. She is leaving Toulouse for Paris and my girlfriend would like to give her some kind of gift. Since we are both students and therefore don't have much money we decided that the best thing would be to make a painting. I did a sketch and I liked the composition, so I am working with oils on canvas... As I have said the work is far from being finished, so all comments are appreciated, they will help me improve the work. Thanks in advance!

Hi resurepus,
Its a lovely gift. No doubts!
Both the paino and the cat colors are truly great!
Its a talented cat resurepus, he's playing with 3 paws!
Again, wonderful gift and a nice (and sweet) idea.
Keep up the good work.

I love it, love it, love it.
As a side note, paintings make wonderful gifts. My uncle (who was quite talented) painted several for me as gifts. Now that he has passed on, I have many memories every time I look at my walls....
It is a very nice thought!

that sparkly flash thing you got going on is pretty cool...i know its not supposed to be like that...but maybe getting some pearlecent paint for the piano keys might add a cool effect...
It looks great like it is though...the green and the orange really make it pop!!

Thanks, guys! I never felt the painting was quite finished (so I didn't take the final picture of it, sorry), but the time came to give the gift so I gave it at whatever stage it was. And the girl was VERY excited. I am very happy, the time spent on the picture was really worth it.
