Elijah, i know that the star and the sword are elements of the flag of Angola, but what Lovie2000 says it is and I accept that these elements are completely equal in 2 designers now!! ......and I think you not read the comments CH "Is there a way to add the Angolan flag to the logo."

i agree totally with you all the contest should be blind. Recently it happened to me and i feel cheated, you spend hours on thinking the concept and suddenly somebody comes and stole your idea. You know that the most important thing is the idea, to make something original, unique and different. I will not participate again in any non blind contest or i'll submit my design lately as Mini suggested, but sometimes i,m thinking that maybe this is not fair for the other designers because i see the comments and their submittions and the changes they did and the time they spend on their designs, what do you think? By far the best solution DC should make it to be all the contest blind and not be able to make it visible.

Hi Guys,
About copying, I had a question (and sorry if it was already answered in the past ...).
I think images available on the internet is a very inspirating source of designs and I thought to use some of them in my designs like contrasting them to black and white images in order to get the rough shapes of animals, objects and so on as a background for logos for instance. At such a point, is it copying someones property??
Cheers

I don't like participating in non-blind contests for this reason; I've noticed even little details on a design can sometimes make a difference and then another designers lifts this off my design and presents the same small details on theirs; if they can't see my design, I'm safe to know they cannot copy, at all.
