hi there

I usually take pictures on bright sunny days with clear blue skies, but when I go home and put the pictures on my computer the skies don’t look as blue as they were, it’s even washed out a bit, Why does this happen and how can I can deep blue skies ?

Many thanks

It’s difficult for most cameras to produce strong colors like the one you want. Shooting pictures at midday limitations. Try to take pictures when the sun isn’t shinning so brightly.
Also try Shooting with a narrow aperture (f18 - f22) . Also try to use a ND filter to reduce the brightness. Hope this helps you out

In addition, you can push up the saturation a little afterwards using Photoshop. I wouldn't rely on this alone, as your camera settings should be what you utilize to do the majority of the work, but it's something that can make the colors in a photo pop just a bit more.

I think you can try adjust the Levels, color balance, & Brightness, contrast to make the photos more appealing.

Have you tired HDR? you take 3 pictures and combine it to make a high dynamic range pic from the 3 separate images.
This usually solves the Sky lighting problems.
