To make an image editable in dreamweaver do the following:

1. From Dreamweaver open the HTML file with the image that you want to edit, or you can create a new HTML file . To create a new HTML file go to File->New and choose HTML and a desired layout, then click Create.
2. Go to File and select Save As and name and save your file.
3. On your new web page click the location you want to place your image.
4. Go to Insert and choose Image. Browse until you find your image and click Ok. In the alternate text field, type in a name for the image. Click Ok.
5. Right click your image and select Edit with, and then from the layout menu select Photoshop. Photoshop will now launch and opens your image file.
6.Make the edits that you want in Photoshop.
7. Go to File and Save.
8.Go back to Dreamweaver. The application will notice that your Web page image has now changed and it will re-imports the file, with your last edits.

Simple but effective i usually name my files in order or relevance top to bottom then if any did need editing i wasn't skimming through hundreds of files to find the one i wanted to edit, his is much easier Thanks.
