I still prefer my own pop3 accounts from my domains. I don't see a need in store every message i receive. 90% of them are spam so I don't want 1000MB of storage
But I always thought that gmail will be free so why are people selling mailaccounts?

Talking seriously.... 1GB for email storage is a waste of space. In 5 months my customers has sent me 200 mb of emails with attachments etc. But they are in my pc. I can back them up whenever I want. But if I had them on the web and something happen... wow, chilling to only think about it.
I have a free yahoo account just in case the world get's crazy and my personal email doesn't work. It's 100 mb that are enough for the 1000 spam mail that I receive per day there.
I think what could have been cool is to have a virtual drive of 1gb but that space only for email sounds a little... what's the word... oh yes: stupid. But what can I say fashion goes to that direction too so who am I to take the candy from the sweet youth.
Oh, and one more thing I detected lately with google is that the speed sometimes sucks and I must blame this GMAIL adventure. I can't believe that when a cool browser is up somebody comes with this idea. It happend the same to geocities before yahoo destroyed it. I hope they find faster servers. It would be a pity to loose google.
Peace,

I have a gmail account which I got for free off a colegue of mine at work. I like it, i normally use a lycos.co.uk account but it is pretty old and getting spammed. I dont have a problem with gmail at all, it seems fine. But the only thing about it that makes it stand above the other mail servers is the inbox capacity. I dont think it has any other advantages over lycos or anyother mail host. Just a bit of a gimik if you ask me. But a good gimik, kind of like having N02 installed on your 3 wheeler car.

did anyone even notice that lol..
it is against gmails tos, so i can't wait till they take action against some of the unlucky individuals that are still trying to sell them.
ie some of the people in the market place(which is kind of anouying to have 30 posts to be able to post in there

but yea if i ever get my invites im going to give them away for free, due to a couple reasons gmail is beta, that means that they are still developing it, so what says that they won't just slip and erase a db that stores all the accounts in it lol...
